  1. It's over, time for everyone to get jobs.
  2. Kurt never died? Cobain?
  3. I'm talking about Harry Armstrong and I've been watching a bit more than just short highlight reels.
  4. From the footage I've watched he looks a bit like a stat sheet forward and mainly about the marks, kicks, goals. That's not a bad thing if you're very good at it but it's what these types of players do when they are out of a contest that matters. Can they get it to ground? Flick it onto a small forward? Make good second efforts and tackle hard? Or do they check out? It's something that bothers me a bit with Max King. If we're going for a KPF I'd love a work rate team oriented one.
  5. I don't think West Coast's mature age additions are as good as they think they are.
  6. NFL

This will take all my skills.. Bengals, Eagles, Ravens
  7. Really need to borrow your Hilux
  8. Sounds like Ivan Soldo has stuffed it up terribly
  9. Culture problems
  10. With the Stringer deal off this is probably even less likely.
  11. Yeah remember when he would be running with the ball then as he kicked he'd raise the ball up before dropping it like some kid at Auskick? Was not a sight for sore eyes. Some team will reap the benefits with Smillie if they put he resources into him.
  12. Yeah interesting. It is true though, all key backs at youth level seem to be interceptors and rarely your classic 1 v 1 full back. Almost seems like something they have to perfect once they get into the AFL system.
  13. Must be a Francophile kind of day today. My director is in France currently but he's had some kind of food poisoning and isn't too well. I've getting morning emails with nothing but French pleasantries. Usually a no nonsense no faff kind of guy so he's definitely lost the plot.
  14. I always like your thinking DeeZone but I'd really hate it if this was just a nepotism pick. If he does have the raw materials that could be worked with and evenually fashioned into a decent AFL player then by all means we should take the punt but it's sounding like some of our NGA products might be worthy consideration for the rookie spot as well.
  15. I like it, good philosophy THBT.
  16. Come on guys. 3 hours left, we need to stick together.
  17. Donald Duck? Yeah he's pretty good.
  18. Ok I'm going to put this out once and only once because I don't have much if any experience of watching him. Is the kid any good? Can he actually make it in the AFL? I feel like there's a section of this place that just wants to see a team full of father/sons for the romanticism of it.
  19. It's like a jungle sometimes it makes me wonder how I keep from going under..
  20. I can see Port getting him
  21. If Tommo does end up going would it increase the chances of going for someone like Tauru in the draft? Looking pretty thin back there.
  22. Yep me too. Spent quite a bit of time off here this year, been on more lately because of trade period but it hasn't been the most pleasant place. Early in the year I'd replaced a lot of my time on here with regular book reading but the last one I was on got boring so that's probably another reason I'm on more lately.
  23. Haha appreciate that, admittedly also the voice of insanity sometimes.
  24. If nothing else, at least you're being transparent and citing endorsements of the working culture at MFC HQ. It may not show fully the culture of our playing group and football department but it does count for something and can be taken into account. There's a lot of opinions flying around at the moment but I think we need to keep this as a civil discussion.
  25. Fair enough, I see your point.
