Thanks Go The Biff, nice to get some credit for it at least! We just do nothing in the redzone now, CMC was vital to pretty much everything we did in there. The best was deciding against going for 2 to tie it up and then missing the extra point! Sorry Spurs have got you down, plenty of season to go though 😀
  2. Probably one of the shorter trips in the Goulburn Valley League really. The thing that is bothering me about this based on both accounts is Pert's involvement. If the Oliver camp were happy with how MFC were handling him and we'd just had the debacle with Trac, then why would Pert choose this moment to undermine everyone and shop Oliver around? We were firmly in the spotlight needing to not make any sudden movements and this was the moment to go rogue? Can't get my head around it, even if Clayton wanted to test the waters this could have been done through the FD. If true then I can't see how Pert's position would be tenable.
  3. This one has been a tough one personally. Most years I like to try new techniques out but this year time has been a factor so I've just been getting work out as soon as possible with not a lot of thought on detail. At some point I might post an example, just be kind!

**Rant alert** After two bloopies against our division already the Niners were presented with a chance to get the season back on track in a SB rematch with the Chiefs and a depleted chiefs at that. Yes we've got a hospital ward full of casualties but there was enough out there and of course we've got the chosen one Kyle Shanahan calling the shots! It would be tough but a great opportunity to build confidence. No. No. Chiefs get an early lead but give up two uncharacteristic turnovers, here is our chance to pounce! 12-14 down and marching down the field, BANG Brock throws a stupid pick. After the Chiefs score, we take it down again. Let's just try and get it in the endzone and make a game of it, no another pick in the endzone. Brock's worst game for the Niners and I count last year's game against the Ravens where he threw 4 picks. But the F on my report card has to go to the coaching. I've now decided that Kyle Shanahan cannot coach against good man coverage. He is amazing against a base defense that plays soft zone coverage, but when they play press man coverage he never seems to be able to scheme anyone open, ever. He is also only as good as his running back. He might be one of the best run play callers we've seen, passing plays I think he's bang average and after 8 years you'd think you'd have assembled the personnel you wanted for this. Nick Sorensen is looking dodgy as a DC as well and I am so sick of playing the Wide 9, we aren't getting enough sacks out of it and it only works if you have a big stud defensive tackle. Admittedly losing Javon Hargrave really stuffed this. It's shaping like nothing year, making the playoffs would be a great save but we've now lost Aiyuk likely for the season (Money well spent guys). It's the season I've come to expect after a Super bowl letdown, from that first moment when McCaffery had the achillies injury I knew it was going to be tough sailing. Rant over and apologies.
  6. Definitely. Not only does he have an inside game but it's actually pretty decent. He's got a 'calming' feeling about his ball use much like Pendlebury. If offered Langford and Lindsay for 5 and 9 right now I'd take it and shut the gate.
  7. For those who have watched him closely, does he have scope to move into midfield? Seems to have good athleticism and I'm wondering if he could be something in the Pavlich mold.

  9. Me too, he plays with rage and as if every game is his last. Hopefully a bit more size and it will be great to see what he can do.
  10. So proud that this guy spent time at our club. You could tell that his mind and desire was as sharp as ever but the body just wouldn't allow him to do what a needed to. This was really evident in the seasons following the flag where he would have ripping pre seasons and first few games but then tail off once the wear and tear kicked in. Wasn't through a lack of trying. Never forget 21.
  11. Looking forward to seeing how he comes back after pre season and what he can offer.
  12. Just wish things worked out better. Seems like a good lad, hope the future is bright for him in whatever he does.
  13. I thought about this yesterday actually. It can make some players but it can certainly break some and understandably so.
  14. What is it good for Saty? What is it good for..
  15. Yeah it's really funny and unfortunately a lot of trial and error and I wouldn't be surprised if my exact situation with chromecast worked perfectly for someone else. For whatever reason when I use it with Kayo I get the buffering despite it never happening with Optus, Stan or anything else. Gee wiz, the cost of living crunch is really making us choose. If I had Foxtel, HBO would be one of the last things keeping me there.
  16. What is this thread on about?
  17. It always depends on the many cocktails of the connection methods. Chromecast with ADSL broadband I find a bit clunky but after switching to Amazon Fire Stick this has been the best Kayo streaming yet personally. As an aside, where is HBO heading to?
  18. We shopped him around but we 'wouldn't budge' in our decision to retain Oliver. Word.
  19. Taught him everything he knows?
  20. On average it usually takes till the 3rd or 4th post for someone to suggest it. Good job adonski 😄
  21. Maybe we did, only time will tell.
  22. Hopefully it also puts to rest people claiming that nothing is wrong with the club and its all media BS. Perception is reality and it cost us elite talent by the sound of it.
  23. I worry about 'sporting news'. Seems like the Daily Mail of sport news sites.
  24. I just caught the tail-end of an SEN interview with Houston and from what I'm gathering our issues have literally cost us his services. Did anyone catch all of it?
