The fact that we were belted in nearly every metric we pride ourselves on and Port missing 60 set shots doesn't matter because hey we fought back and got within a kick. It's all sweet bro, galant effort! This game and the Brisbane game were maulings at the coalface. Contested ball, our 1-wood as the coach likes to say. These close results shouldn't be band aids over problems that are actually quite obvious.

I don't think I missed the point at all and that's precisely what I was suggesting with this post. We literally could not be more on the same page. It's the people that come on here and make people like you and I feel bad about complaining because 'it was only a 4 point loss" and we should be grateful that I'm talking about.

I'm starting to think that anyone who comes in here or the gameday thread making a big statement like "Wow you'd think from reading this thread we lost by 100 points" doesn't actually watch the game and just sees the scores in the paper.

Can we all put under our avatar in the info section what we all expect out of the season so we can categorise A) The people who want a top 4 finish and another shot at a flag B) The people who are happy with top 8 C) The people who got their flag and are happy even if we lose every game. It would make conversations in this thread easier and people will then understand why the A people are so hell bent on not dropping too many games for instance.

Had some serious passengers tonight and it's simply not good enough. As much as I would have loved to pinch that it would have papered over cracks and we would have used a get out of jail free card.
