  1. With no extended podcast ep I think this is the best week for my question to @binman Stuck on a desert Island, only a turntable or a CD player available and one album of choice. Go!
  2. I listened to the song Don't Worry Be Happy by Bobby McFerrin 15 times yesterday..
  3. Kozzie is copping it hard on here. Not in great form I'm not disputing that but even with that in mind he was our best small forward yesterday and still managed to make a couple of things happen to get us back into the game. Drop someone else.
  4. Probably not, the second Greene goal was sloppy but I'll take that performance and they did their part to give us the best chance to win. Need the other end to help out.
  5. And this is annoys me to no end about our sport: ANB played a less than spectacular game but had he kicked that goal late we all would have praised him as the hero, our backline balled out all day snuffing out some pretty threatening Giants attacks but because they lapsed late they are the villans. I know many on here are smarter than this but the general footy public watching on would absolutely see it this way. In short, I have a lot of sympathy too. Converting better would take some heat off.
  6. Bam, nail hit sweetly by hammer. When you start a game with a few misses at can start to become a sideshow, when you miss more after that it can really flatten the mindset in front of goal and this is on a good day feeling fresh. Throw any sort of fatigue onto all of that and you could very well have a nice multiplier effect that is just going to torment the mind and send it to the pits of hell. All the running, the pressure, the getting back to setup the structure, it feels so much harder if you aren't converting up the other end. In this area of the game, one good performance good definitely turn it around. I'd even go as far as saying one great quarter in front of the sticks could get it going again, especially if it's the first quarter next week. That's really all you can hope for, you can't really coach harder on the track with skills. It's mental and sometimes you just need a good period with things going your way and it can turn. In other words, sometimes you need a little luck. Just hope the damage isn't done.
  7. I'm pretty close to Harry Trott Oval, will go down and watch Collegians play in the ammos in a couple of week. Jared Rivers is the coach so happy to give him my support! Been so long since I went to a country footy game, I did actually go to a Fish Creek v Foster game years ago believe it or not! Good times.
  8. Plenty of knee-jerks and some just jerks.
  9. Would have been good if ANB kicked that goal.
  10. We were playing a real high line, good in principle but it means nothing if we don't convert the chances we get from it. I would have just loved someone to stand the mark when Kelly had it.
  11. Goodnight Montreal.
  12. Exactly. Don't go chasing waterfalls.
  13. Let's tear this place apart.
  14. Shots in a crowded forward line are tough hey.
  15. I hate tonight
  16. I'd be bringing kicking boots or a calculator.
  17. It's just another one of those cases where we don't know and are just morons watching on from the cheap seats.
  18. Still pretty confused as to why they chose this game to bring him back
  19. We need new faces in the team. Been going to the well too much and it's time for a new look. Taj, Howes, Laurie, anyone. I want to see if these guys can play at all, at least there will be learnings.
  20. GWS and Freo beat us playing catenaccio football, soaking in all our attacks and letting us miss before breaking away on the counter attack. If we aren't comfortable capitalising on early opportunities we create then either fix the skills or change the gameplan entirely. I am not impressed with 70+ inside 50s. All that says to me is that when the opposition sees that and then realises they are still in the game it's advantage to them. Like Homer Simpson being beaten for 10 rounds until they get tired. How do you fix it?
  21. I'm good with that
  22. Wish we had Flower today.
  23. Fatigue plays a part but we should still execute enough skill to win this game today. This isn't 2019 and we can't look to the contested ball and I50 count as signs of progress. We're the big boys now, we should be getting it done with those numbers every day of the week.
  24. It's hard, damn hard to watch your team lose a game that way. I'm thinking the same thing, there's a little too much working against us and I think the Fritsch injury is the straw that breaks it. Not all our fault or our doing, I don't believe the club owes me a flag or anything but you really do need those planets to align and I just don't see it.
  25. I'm coming around to this. Could do without the stress.
