  1. Took a nice chunk out of it though! The whole trip took nearly an hour and a half and finished it up at home making dinner. Usually I end up with an hour of rope left and roll over to the next day!
  2. I'd go as far as saying that the Dusty goal was the only one we've given up like that this year, 2 or 3 at most. I like your Rugby analogy, the flat line is typically used in defence when you don't have the ball in Rugby so it is high risk to be streaming forward in unison. The thing I can't figure out is why it has taken so long for a team to exploit it. Could it simply be a case of teams missing their chances early? I won't be surprised if a team got a run-on early against the Pies in a final and blew them out. Despite last week's loss they haven't really had that smack in the mouth wake up call yet. Are they going to be good enough or flexible enough when the chips are down and playing a composed team?
  3. Losing mentality is losing mentality. Nothing else.
  4. Collingwood at G but we fear no-one.
  5. Tell them to fix their service.
  6. Big call! Neitz was one of the best overhead marks going round! Not necessarily disagreeing though, this guy can take them.
  7. If you ever want a way to listen to the pod in one sitting, decide one night to drive home through Swan St past AAMI Park and Rod Laver. I reckon I was in that precinct alone for 45 mins bumper to bumper.
  8. Yeah look I have to agree, he's way too close. We're talking about taking the decision out of player and club's hands because of a conflict of interest and I think this extends to Kane.
  9. Way to bury the lead on the best story I'll ever have guys! 🤪
  10. I'm thinking the fateful 2017 season?
  11. Burned into the memory that one.
  12. Makes it pretty black and white. Never used to think possessions backwards counted but I guess they do.
  13. Definitely. And in a turnover the phase between the stoppage and clearance doesn't count? Wondering if a clearance is the first effective disposal out from the pack (eg a quick handball) or the first possession to territory advantage?
  14. If the showdown is anything to go by Port are starting to run out of steam. Taking on an Adelaide side full of run is just a sign of what is to come in finals and they look like they have led in their legs currently.
  15. This is what is throwing me. Is a clanger the same as a turnover? Edit: They have both on Footywire. Turnover: Losing possession to the opposition in general play. General play excludes events that happen between a stoppage and the clearance. Clanger: An error made by a player resulting in a negative result for his side. Disposal clangers are any kick or handball that directly turns the ball over to the opposition. Frees and 50-metre penalties against, No Pressure Errors, Dropped Marks and Debits are all included in clangers.
  16. Some good thesaurus use wouldn't be the worst thing, yes.
  17. I'm sick of seeing the word 'rest'.
  18. Why else would they be an ex? 😉
  19. That's pretty much it. I didn't think Kozzie got him high the prior opportunity was the only question for me and the arm raise was effectively his prior.
  20. For the 2009 Queen's Birthday game I sat behind the goals at the city end with my then Pies gf. During the warm up shots at goal I looked down for a couple of seconds, probably to look at my phone and the next thing I know there is a Sherrin footy right there in my lap! It landed there perfectly as if I’d chest marked it. No pain, no nothing. Amazing luck, you couldn't make it up. I remember Jim Stynes had caught a ball in the crowd earlier that season so I raised it up and yelled that I was Jimmy to everyone!
  21. They should penalise them percentage.

I've never reserved an MCC seat before but planning to for the Carlton game. Wish me luck.
  23. I'll give it time, time up forward.
  24. If they are hurt then rest, if the suggestion is to rest because they've played a lot and might be tired then no. That's where the silly stuff comes in.
  25. We all love the great man. Live every moment he has left in the game in the fullest that you can because these generational guys don't come along often. Our club didn't stand for much and was bereft of character. Forever burned in my mind are Jimmy's words that this kid was going to be something different and challenge the status quo, he saw something in him that he couldn't see himself at the time. I'm not religious but something or someone smiled on us when they gave us Max.
