  1. Weren't you the guy who thought we were brilliant against Carlton? If there's one tiny little thing to come out of this it's that there was no illusion whatsoever with this result. No papering over cracks, no masking severe deficiencies, no feel good comeback to make people think we were better than we were, this was an unequivocal thrashing and everything is now laid bare. And don't talk it, walk it. Go right down to the next training session and tell them all how pathetic they are, I'm sure they would love to hear from you.
  2. Absolutely no-one has been spared today and every single negative post from the last two decades that you could think of came out. We now question a guy that has played 1 game. The boot studder has to be next.
  3. Think he cut it off once there was enough content.
  4. No Naarm this week, just a plain old Melbourne curse
  5. That top 8 really is pathetic.
  6. Totally agree. And I know you're not doing this, but hearing people constantly pointing to complete outlier results to defend our team is a total waste of time. Whether it's Richmond having bad losses in their flag years, Collingwood being beaten by Hawthorn last year, the fact that we got smashed by 98 points then went on to play in a Grand final 25 years ago. This club and it's success in 2021 was built on a model and system that stacked the probability in our favour over the course of a game and season. To then go and cite these weirdo examples that are as rare as a day in Melbourne without roadworks doesn't really do anything for me but suggest that a minor miracle is required to get out of this. What are WE going to do about it, what happens next? That's what I'm interested in.
  7. Maybe we should take some inspiration from it 😝
  8. Was this always going to be a 'step backward to go forward' year? I can't say for sure whether the old game style or the new game style is the way to go but are the holes in our list and aging cattle alone enough to say that this was always going to be a pivot season? A year getting the red and blueprint down and a few new acquisitions who can compliment this could see us with a better shot at it in 2025. Is this too optimistic? What are your thoughts?
  9. No dramas! I'm reading the exhibit details on the website so that's enough for now. Good to read a bit about their backgrounds.
  10. Sounds like a very informative experience! I totally forgot about Melb Design Week this year, always some great exhibits on. Feel free to share those details via PM if you feel!
  11. That's right. Most people had no idea who Jack Bowes was before Geelong when he was quite an effective dasher off HB.
  12. I do assume you mean he just needs to be dropped because if he needs a physical rest right now then god help us.
  13. That big bodied midfielder who can win you a clearance when the game is on the line is key and it really shows how much of a game changer it is when you see the drop off we're seeing with Oliver. Having what he gave us at the top of his game was a multiplier effect.
  14. Dockers had 90 points from turnover. Yikes.
  15. You'd think when a directive is given that it at least brings a sugar hit of consistency for a brief moment, Thurs and Fri showed this but the rest of the weekend was all over the place.
  16. Well I hope you call in this week because I do enjoy your contributions.
  17. Almost a throwback to the horrible shape we looked in to start the 2019 season, always a step or two behind.
  18. I'll be fine the moment I get those first few "What happened to Melbourne?" comments out of the way 🙂
  19. The morning after is the worst. What a dagger.
  20. MFC - Shame on you
  21. I don't see it at all from this guy. Physically or game wise.
  22. Anyone else really disappointed that people actually voted?
  23. We could win this to be honest. And monkeys might fly out of my butt.
  24. Well that's just it isn't it? This is the new norm for Petty. I really don't want to hear about unrewarded leads this week either.
