Going by the club's VFL | Match simulation player report - "In three 30-minute terms of VFL football under the baking sun, Jai Culley was a standout performer for the Demons as they fell one point shy of the home side after a slow start," Culley is looking like the favourite, especially in view of the fact that he was considered to be close in the last SSP deliberations before we took Jack Henderson.
  2. Also nothing about whether the local snake population was out and about today.
  3. Does anyone know what ails Caleb Windsor?
  4. There's an article in the Herald Sun about Samoan born Richmond (and former Casey Demons) player Mykelti Lefau going back to Samoa to visit his roots and promote the game. If Melbourne were smart, it would immediately start pushing for players of Samoan heritage to be included in NGA qualification rules in the same way as players from other countries that do meet the current qualifications. There's no logical reason this shouldn't happen and it's just a pity that for some reason Melbourne apparently is never proactive in such things.
  5. Vietnam, Laos, Taiwan, Malaysia, Australia ?
  6. Agree, it was a very positive article but why do they highlight it with an video interview with Eric Gulden?
  7. But there are no times specified for Casey Fields, presumably because those are closed sessions. Based on Tracc’s comments yesterday, there’s training on today so it’s more than likely at Casey.
  8. Something tells me that the concept of rolling women is not going to go down well with some of the intellegensia at Demonland.
  9. SInnema comes from Narre North Foxes FC and averaged 13.9 disposals in 2024 from 17 appearances with the Dandenong Stingrays. He also kicked five goals in seven games of senior football for Devon Meadows in the Mornington Peninsula Football Netball League.
  10. When did he say this? I heard someone say that he gave his height in feet and inches and someone miscalculated the conversion. He's actually hit 200cm.
  11. Perfect - it means we're going to get a fantastic run with the media from now on.
  12. Possibly where he belongs.
  13. Can't wait till next week when Tracc comes out with a large tub of nonna's pasta to feed the boys at the end of training.

Tigers would probably be prepared to kick in a couple of early first rounders plus say, Taranto.
  15. As a dog lover, I am deeply offended by the suggestion that they change the name to the “Mutts” which is derogatory to all canines. If they must change the name then why not the more elegant “Dachshunds”?
  16. Now that is what I call an injury list.
  17. Who said that clubs should necessarily consider a player’s footy ability alone when giving out contracts. There are other issues involved such as age, type of player, fitness and future availability. It sucks that the investigation has taken so long but how do you expect a club to offer a player a contract in his unfortunate situation?
  18. The Board “jettisoned” one president three years ago and less than six months later, we won an AFL premiership. Soon after followed a VFL premiership, then an AFLW flag and a McClelland Trophy. If that’s what “jettisoned” means, bring it on. I could be wrong but Kate Roffey tendered her resignation. That’s not the same as being “jettisoned”. As for litigation, we’re aware of one set of litigation that was recently decided and its outcome. The other cases are still running and we won’t know who is at fault until the case is heard. There’s nothing we can say about that so it’s not advancing your argument at all.
  19. "Underperformed"? There are 17 other clubs who all have coaches. Tell me how many have matched Goody's performance and why?
  20. Obviously the President and CEO have to have a role in the process. Who would we like to oversee the process? Bozo the Clown. Let's see how it progresses before jumping to unnecessary conclusions.
  21. Good point. Well made.
  22. So very true. I picked up a Herald Sun at my local cafe this morning and was staggered to find nothing in there from the usual snipers having a dig at our club. At least they will have Port Adelaide, Ken Hinkley and Charlie Dixon as their whipping boys over the next week.
  23. I'm shocked that the Nibbler to Adelaide trade is being run on such amicable lines. I thought from reading the expert commentary in the media that it was yet another example of the club's poor culture and sheer incompetence.
