It’s too late now Tassie will have first crack at all the Young Talent North should have gone to The Gold Coast, but James Brayshaw said “no, i will save them..” I have zero sympathy for this club

My 3 word player analysis V Adelaide, the dumb crowd and the dumber umpires
I think he long bombs so often because he is using so much strength to break free. He was well tagged early, but was still a huge contributor

Training Ground?
Exactly. Now let me clarify, the Bentleigh Club and Leaoak were great purchases and i give him credit for those , but they didn’t assist in getting Training Facilities, which is what the core Business of The Club is. Winning games of Football. My Biggest worry with Gutnick was that he didn’t look far enough into the Future, there were ways to raise money back then, but he wasn’t interested.

Training Ground?
Sure, but it would have been fantastic in 1998-99 when it was first offered. And it would have given us great bargaining power within the Competition.Big Name Players would have come to the MFC. Everything has a shelf life, but we are still trying to find a block of land, other clubs have redeveloped and rebuilt 2-3 times

Training Ground?
I understand all that. But while Joe was in charge, there was no negotiation. I say this because I worked with a Board Member at the time, I got daily updates on how hard it was to do anything. Yes Joe donated a large chunk, but it did come at a cost

Training Ground?
If Joe had been smarter, he could have engaged a lot of Members to financially contribute and we would have gotten another $5-6 Mill But he didn’t. Joe was King for a short time and we are still waiting to find a base

Training Ground?
Joe never bothered to speak to Members about anything. And the money he did put in, had to be surgically removed from his pocket long after the promise was made. We are still nomadic

Burger Promotion
Dead right mate. I won’t go near those joints. I questioned a manager on Glenhuntly Road about 7 years ago about wages at grill’d and he wouldn’t say a word.

Training Ground?
Knocking back the Lexus Centre all those years ago, has really hurt us long term We got put at the back of the queue, and we are still there

The Melbourne - Norwood connection
I can’t see it happening. How many members have Norwood got now? I just don’t think it would be financially possible. They would have to change colours and song, as Port Power did
-
Eagles Draft Assistance?
We got shafted with Recruitment Zones. we as a Club were also too slow to react when the game started to become Professional in the mid 60’s. Our slide began when TV Replays began (1965) We just didn’t get major exposure. Richmond became the MCG drawcard
