Still doesn't change my position at all. I don't expect to win this fight in the short term. The AFL still hold the upper hand at this stage. We need to win games in september-including flags before we can totally stand alone. Build income streams outside the club that can be sustained and grown. This has nothing to do with "The Invincible Whites" It has to do with the Modern standardized "white" strips the AFL force upon us. Dean Bailey is just starting to get his act together after 3 hard years, let's give him a chance to go all out before you put extra pressure on him. Laidley may be a good coach, but i always thought he was about to explode during any media work. Not sure about him.

Do you work for the AFL? If not you certainly should. I don't Barrack for the AFL I Barrack for the Melbourne Footy Club. If 2 competeing clubs deem between themselves that a clash is obvious, then a vote should be given to the members...as is the Bummers Constitution. The AFL should not have any say over the Club Colours in any game we play.

Hitting the post could soon be a goal....Send the AFL to jail for bringing the Game into disrepute. As the rules of the game are at our club we should play the game by those rules i say The AFL are not trustworthy.

That would not suprise me. A Ground the size of the MCG, if at full capacity the odds of someone dying is reasnoably high. I was at the 2006 GF and people around me nearly exploded in that last Quarter!!

Take a look at your own avatar I.D. I can't believe you are quite willing to sacrifice that Jumper for a no name white jumper that looks like any other team from a distance. I am actually quite shocked as to how many posters on Demonland are prepared to lose the jumper for 30-40% of our games because the AFL says so. You are telling me i am misgiuded, just because i do not want the MFC to lose it's jumper, and ultimately a large part of it's History & identity.

I found it through wikipedia,after a friend had told me of it about 18 months ago..Took a while to find it, but EPL Colours was where i started.

The EPL did a very thorough study on colours a few years back. I suggest you read it. White was the most passive shade by far...& there is no reason to have it on our jumper as we are the Red & Blue. Where is my arguement absurd?? The AFL stance is absurd.

We rank pretty dam close to Collingwood given our 2 games against them this year-That is all you can go on. If we do not make it, or get knocked out in week 1, the Filth will be stoked. I do not believe all that Year ahead or not Business-The list changes each year-Tweaked. Some players over achieve, some under. As DB has said though-Game time into young players is vital-1-2 Finals will do that in spades if we keep winning. Finishing 9th is in no man's land. A wasteland. This thread & or discussion was never about white shorts, you added that one ID. White shorts signified the away team and still do in certain games. No problem there. This is about the bastardisation & diluting of our jumper for no consistant reason. I will keep bringing it up because last weekends fixture strengthened my viewpoint quite a lot.

White is the colour of surrender sideshow, the information is out there if you care to research it. And if you wish to get rid of our jumper for a good % of the Home & away season because of one tackle against Carlton a few years ago (a game we did win) then i think that is really sad. Yes the Port Saints game looked interesting too. The clash was more prominent.

Oh i would love the MFC to play collingwood at the MCG in this years finals, of course. What better experience for the team can there be??? So i have answered your question, but you think it would be more beneficial to not play collingwood & finish 9th.....Please Explain as Finals are worth at least 5 games in terms of experience.

In hindsight i am glad Jeff said what he did. Why because it woke this club up, and look what has happenned in 2 years. We were a complete basket case, but those days look gone now. Jeff Kennett is and always was a Jerk, but he was the reaction needed to finally wake this club up and DO something about it. Demons by 40 points this weekend.

Ahh yes most funny. The rules of the game, well there is a totally new universe, But our Trad jumper i believe we need to fight for it. Adelaide and the westies looked fairly close, but i had no trouble telling them apart. It's never been a problem until it was deemed to be one.

Carltons Guernsey clashes with Essendons as much as our jumper clashes with St.kildas Guernsey-that is my point. Footscray wore there Trad Guernsey against Adelaide on sunday. Why do we need to wear a clash guernsey against either of these sides if that happened. The AFL are just inconsistent on all of this-which is why we should Boycott any decisions concerning a clash jumper.

There must be an over rule clause used when video evidence is so clear that a mistake has been made like last night. Geelong were on as roll when that happened, it may have cost them the game. With so many camera angles used by the networks already, the technology is already there. In 20 seconds that would have been sorted out last night. Glad it wasn't a GF....YET.
