  1. I wonder how he remembers that day now, in all seriousness it must really eat at him. Would be great to interview him one day & find out. I reckon the club froze him out after that!!!!
  2. Well aware of that, but i am talking Generally. If Freo's behavior becomes a trend, people will not go to the games.
  3. That's absolutely superb DM well done, Send that to the Club immediately....Just shows how crap that white strip really is. B) B)
  4. Good on ya!! My Hatred of the white Clash Strip continues & WILL NOT DIE!!!! B) B) B)
  5. Just such a shame that Liam Jurrah took that absolute Screamer wearing that Putrid White Outfit the AFL inflict upon us. In years to come people will look at that picture and say "What Team did he play for?" I hope some one can do a bit of Photo Shop work on the Pictures... B)
  6. Great isn't it, i shall enjoy watching the lions self destruct. I remember there then President laughing at the Press Conference when they "Took Over" the Fitzroy lions. They have treated Fitzroy supporters with contempt most of the time, if you speak to any of the old supporters. The Paddle Pop Logo speaks Volumes doesn't it!!! And yes they did win 3 in a row (almost 4) so i have no sympathy for the supporters, if they get Melancholy they have plenty of DVD's to watch!!! Let us aim for 4 in a row to spite them.... B)
  7. Yes it seems our OP was having a little dream, with Rischitelli coming to melbourne by choice....but who knows.
  8. Would be a great get, is he good mates with Joel Mac?? This may help our situation if he is. Maybe Joel has whispered in his ear that this club is warming up. B)
  9. He was always wanted as a CHF, but he never got used to it.
  10. I think you are absolutely spot on there HT, but i wouldn't do it. To me it gives the opposition a lot of Ammo to really hit Freo Hard this week, and it also treats the supporters who went to last weeks game with complete disdain. If the Shockers wish to play that way, when they still have an opportunity for a double chance they should refund every punter who went to the Tassie game.
  11. Maybe not, but the way they played it was almost the same as forfieting the game. Sponsors and supporters deserve better than that. Yes teams can pick whatever side they choose, but at the same time they charge big Bucks for memberships and merchandise. Some people would have spent a lot of money getting to that game, and to have a score of 18 goals to 1 at 3/4 time is just not on. But Friday will tell the full story....
  12. Yes i believe Freo were very wrong with what they did, whether i am right or wrong will be known soon-but it doesn't sit right with me at all. Freo had a chance to gain 4th spot but they chose not to fight for it. Bad Precedent.
  13. Good luck Brad, you gave your all in a position you were never really comfortable playing. I hope you play a final game this sunday at the 'G Shall always remember your superb game against the Shockers in 2006 in perth. Well done Millsy.
  14. Football is a business as well as a sport, and not every supporter would think that way. The ground would be very sparse this week if we picked a B team, not good for the books at ll Why would i blindly roll up to a game if only half the side was picked? It is actually quite an expensive day to get to the footy and back, so i want to get some value out of it thanks. i want to se the whole team play their guts out for junior actually. Yes i know the direction the club is taking, but i do not just want to read about it, i want to see it.
  15. But Port Adelaide are Rubbish, and we shouldn't just always wait to win at the MCG. somebody above said Port Adelaide worried us off the ball today, maybe thats right-Pretty damming if it is. The MFC go to water in Adelaide-its pathetic that it has gone on so long. I am not Blaming anyone in particuliar- Senior players i thought would have had more pride for junior.
  16. I am sure the club has thought about it a lot, but over a decade we have been CANNON FODDER over there each time. FFS even Richmond win at AAMI and in the west for that matter. I see nothing wrong with voicing disdain at today's performance-particularly as it was our captain's 250th.. It was shameful, sorry if you are offended, but i have had a gutful, as i bet the Bookies around the country have. Betting should be suspended when we venture to AAMI.
  17. why is it a deplorable thread 25??
  18. Yes it's been a poor effort over there in adelaide since 2001, not once have we ever been close to winning over there. It is a full season of games just written off. Just letting the club know that it is an area that MUST improve.
  19. Totally agree. Enough is enough.
  20. So if you intend to rest half the side next week-send them on holidays, How many supporters are going to rock up to next weeks Game?? We have just managed to get ourselves out of debt & i do not want to start that all again. We need a big turn out next week to say goodbye to junior, then everyone is able to go on holiday. Next year i hope our season goes for 25 matches, not 22 mate
  21. Season runs for 22 weeks. Everyone knows that who plays. Like it or lump it mate.
  22. No arguement there my friend, but in the past i don't think the level has been high enough throughout the whole club. Next year we must improve again on & off the field-and yes we must aim to be consistent. Dud games are just not acceptable, not even next year. Those days are over, they live with the Junction oval Ghosts. The odd one will happen i concede but never as many as i have seen each season over the last 40 odd years.
  23. So what happened against the West Coast Eagles?? That's the point being made here. We as a Club and as supporters have to demand more in order to win that 13th Premiership. Jim knows that, i think it's a big reason he became President-he knows & only he really knows how hard he had to push his mind & Body to get those 244 consecutive games. That's the kind of effort winning flags in the modern era is going to take. 2010 was great but it is in no way good enough going forward. You cannot switch on and off as a team each week if you plan to make the top 4. That's what always killed us in the Northey Years, finishing 5th rather than 3rd. 1-2 really bad performances during each year that cost us so dearly. Imagine if we were playing Freo in 2 weeks....we would be a real chance-but 1-2 performances during this season have again cost us. As long as the club learns from it, that's all i ask. (Btw the QB game was our best effort for the year. We were under the microscope around the country-the only game in town. That makes a difference)
