If you are claiming him as your boy, well then I am looking all that much more to seeing him debut in the red and blue. Like your confidence in him.

Umm read the post again champ, I never questioned or disputed his running ability my point was the amount of distance covered (15km) was it A - when he seemed to be at his peak form in early 2004? or was it, B - measured recently?

Thanks for the mail on Bail hope he resumes next week

Pleasure. Although I take exception to "undiagnosed aspy syndrome". So I thought I'd have to respond one last time just in case, so you might get the "big picture." What does aspy mean anyway? Admittedly I did refer to you as some kind of a 'fortune teller/palm reader.' Is that such a snide remark? Some people would say it's a compliment. Furthermore you even stated that you read palms! Hey, maybe I should read palms! Looking at these quotes above I see a constructive answer to your request - (I was never trying to be clever) - by your's truly. I respond accordingly. As for the snide remarks I suggest you re-visit your post(s). Back on topic. As I stated earlier, I'd prefer to see Sylvia's progress over the remainder of the season to make an assessment, rather than hang him after Round 3. Each to their own.

Does "Melbourne" mean the CBD or the whole of Melbourne?
H_T replied to james1977's topic in Melbourne Demons
I agree. Needs alot of work. But the foundations are already there. -
I'm tipping the totally opposite. A spiteful, exciting encounter despite errors-a-plenty. Demons by 8 points.

So it's 189cm on a bad hair day. Settled. edit: - Newton's beady eyes freak me out. Looks like a puppet.
-
Is that what has been measured and recorded of late (sometime in last 2 years)? Or is that he's GPS reading from Rounds 1-3 back in 2004?
-
It's times like these when the Demons faithful should be out in force at the 'G'! I'm looking forward to when the umpire holds the ball aloft for the opening siren. Go Dees!

Did anyone stick with Sandringham after the Dees switched to Casey?
H_T replied to james1977's topic in Melbourne Demons
I don't really care now how Sandy are travelling. My interest or connection is now with Casey following the Melbournefc players progress. As well as our "new campus". -

Certainly not. Look, if you don't rate the others as 'power forwards' or they're 'go to men' up forward at their respective clubs, that is fine. We can agree to disagree. If you placed yourself within their inner sanctums I think you might get a clearer picture that the players I mentioned are the ones nominated within their own clubs as their own 'power forwards.' You might not see them as "power" but these guys are the ones that are looked upon as the ones to stand up down forward. Whether it is Brown or Bradshaw at Brisbane or Petrie and Hale at North. When he pushes up forward, IMO he will be viewed upon by the opposition as a Power Forward (KPP), yes, even though he may start in the Ruck. He spends a fair bit of time up forward when Blake is Rucking. So yes you are right, he is a ruckman that can go forward and give them drive - a big power forward with presence. Not that they need it most of the time because of they're midfield.

TBH I think I responded quite objectively, you may beg to differ. You requested ONE game where Sylvia has shown something. I could of given you a few examples, but I gave you just one. Hardly sarcastic in serving up what you request. Simply answered the question. You're a real work of art. :D As for Sylvia, clearly in his first two games this year he hasn't worked hard enough in terms of output in comparison to his good games. You could say the same for the entire playing list apart from the obvious ones in form (ie Davey, Green, Moloney, etc) in terms of not working hard enough. Yet, Sylvia is in the spotlight again - probably because of his off-field activities, probably because of the "No.3" stigma. I'd prefer to see his progress over the remainder of the season, rather than hang him after Round 3. Each to their own.

Richmond playing proficient kickers in forward line vs Dees!!
H_T replied to DangerousDemon's topic in Melbourne Demons
I cannot see Bartram as his opponent. What about Morton -
Maybe he should wear gloves in the warm up then. I would also say Bruce ran more and covered more ground when younger than he does now.

Stay on topic, please. They were not examples of forward structures of how to build a premiership team, they were examples of power forwards of teams, which was clearly stated. You've failed to mention the likes of Franklin/Roughead, Lloyd/Lucas and Brown/Bradshaw etc, etc which were also in my post, to suit your own argument. If Ottens is not a KPP/Ruck, I'll go he. I'm not pretending nor hiding anything.

I would have thought it was a 'clash strip' only not an 'away strip'. I was a little surprised they wore it too, and wonder if it was an AFL decision handed down? i would be disappointed if it did come from the AFL. IMO it's not a clash. Schwab also mentioned re: "RED" at the Summit last year.

What goes up, must come down....with a thud.
-
Yes, pretty sure I've heard him before. Tell him to keep it up. Keep that 'air-head' accountable.
-
....yeah I know JtR, but he only asked me to name 'ONE'.....shhhh
-
Any chance Caro put it on Samantha's desk and said, "Here, you handle this one.....I copped it last year!"
-
I know and understand. It's just the margin (80 points) and the club of Richmond. <Still shaking head

Ha. Ok fortune teller. Or should I say 'palm reader' - just in case you accuse me of incorrectly alluding again. Constructive: - Here is 1 game of the top off my head. Not bad stats from someone who has been absolutely smashed this week on the forums. Maybe this is SHOWING something. I mean, you say he hasn't yet and never will. Do you watch the footy? Or do you base your thoughts on 2 games this year like many others? Round 18, 2008. v Essendon (of which Essendon won by about 16 points) Colin Sylvia had 23 disposals. 21 Kicks 2 Handballs 11 Marks 3 Tackles 9 Inside 50 entries 4 times contributed to Goals 4 Hit Outs and Kicked 3 Goals. (3.1) That's just one of a few good games from him, I could remember last year off the top of my head. Now, why don't YOU take your hand off it and tell me that Sylvia hasn't shown something.....
