Anyone for cricket?
I think I'm with you re: 3. What other options do we have? Some of the shot selections were again disappointing. This is Test cricket, the amount of mettle shown would suggest T/20 was just around the corner.

Losing a wicket on the second ball of the day reduced the spring in my step, TD. I'd like to see a miracle.

Don't know about anyone else, but I'm looking forward to what is left of this Test.

I reckon if there is any portion of the ball that is pitched in line - using the DRS - of the stumps it should count as "pitched in line". In that instance as you say nearly half the ball is in. If the whole ball is outside the stump line zone, it should be not out.

Agree. It couldn't occur by accident, because there's a couple of steps involved. And we don't delete threads unless it's usually someone who has made a duplicate thread by being trigger happy with their OP. Or if a thread is in bad taste.Hopefully it can be retrieved Redleg. Nasher is the wiz. We can all buy him a bunch of banana's if he comes through. Or he might settle for a smoothie.

The No T$ No B$ Thread
There was some great banter in the original. I recall the time last year when we started the countdown clock to the Jack Viney Draft. That was somewhere in the first 20 pages or so. WJ or Redleg started the countdown pretty much at the conclusion of the 2011 Draft. Then I produced an actual clock from a website so we could re-post it which told how much time to the second there was to go until we landed Jack Viney. The pricing of banana's fluctuated (actually went through the roof) when cyclone Yasi wreaked havoc..... .

I wouldn't have thought that would be the case dc. At this point it's a great shame I only have banana smoothies to remember it by. Hopefully it can be found. That had just about everything but the kitchen sink in it. Why oh why...? edit: Good news is Nasher is now aware of it, and will look into it tonight.

Such a shame and so disappointing. I'm speaking from an Ashes tour perspective too.

In future I'll refrain from making any predictions. Clearly I've put the mozz on the Aussies.

Don't get me started RR. I know it's an honest mistake from you but..... I've just spent a season correcting people on Mitch Clark(e), now you're starting on Michael Clark? I think I should give up... Agree on 600 +.

I'm going out on a limb here, and I'll say he will do it. I'm also tipping a 300 for him today. I'm not sure which I love more, Michael Clarke at the crease or 45HG31's stats? Nice stats those.

This is an absolute pleasure to watch Clarke. I think I'm in love AoB/RR. Absolute superb balance, confidence, at ease with himself and he is pouring it on. How was that over off Morkel? Disaster for Sth Africa - as RR said. Unbelievable. Clarke sensing a kill. They could get close to 500 up tonight. If Clarke gets a double century, that will be 4 in the calendar year. No one has done that - ref: Ch9.

Looks as though Watson will not come up, another chance for Quiney perhaps. Is Watson in the best 6 Test batsmen around Australia?

Did you happen to see Flores' goal in Adelaide? Great goal.

The Soccer thread
Soccer in Australia, or football as it's known around the world just took a step forward in this country today with a 4year deal with Foxtel and free to air for the first time for the FFA. $166 million deal over 4 years. (Previous deal with Fox sports was $120mill/7years). http://wwos.ninemsn.com.au/article.aspx?id=8567038
