  1. Seeing it like a football. Gun.
  2. Yeah well, some don't want to even contemplate alternate views no matter what is put forward. Set in their ways with the blinkers on. He's delivered on his promise to shake up the joint and go down a track unfamiliar to many within the melbfc. A professionally run outfit. Rome wasn't built in a day and he needs players to play roles and cattle. Quality cattle which he hasn't got. Some people talk about wins of the past, some of those players have moved on, different dynamic, different path now. Different coach. In a month or two's time the playing list will be significantly different to 2012. It's a tough job and initiation for any rookie coach. I shouldn't have to go on about our midfield, you've read it all before.
  3. If you can find them and single them out for me I would appreciate it. I've got a dose of reality for both parties that says we aren't going well because of the past, but looking forward things will be gradually on the up despite false dawns recently.
  4. Tens of thousands.

When I look back on Jobe back in 2005/06, reminds me of Gysberts. Pulling the "finger out" (as his father told him) and working with this Riley character and Greg Williams transformed him in body and mind.
  6. May be some room if Monfries is moved on to Port. Heard McPhee is on the move again. He should work for Getaway.
  7. Has to be some sort of record.

Like Brisbane before with Clark, Gold Coast will make the best deal in return for Caddy. The club hasn't spoken to him yet...
  9. I hope we haven't got anyone on the All Australian selection committee this week......otherwise we will cop another pasting in the press. Gerard, you're on your own champ.
  10. Relatively close with Grimes. Well deserved though.
  11. I watched along with 2.1 million other Australians last night the first part of the mini series "Howzat - Kerry Packers War" . I thought it was very entertaining. Particularly the confrontation between Kerry Packer and a young David Hookes. Pissa. Here's an article worth reading regarding that time on reflection: http://footyalmanac.com.au/?p=43653 -Gideon Haigh. A very good read. The second and final part of the series is on next Sunday night on Ch 9.
  12. If we could expand the title of the thread to include no tanking we'd effectively hit two birds with one stone. That of AFL and Racing. Pretty soon all would be left for discussion would be bananas.

If that's the case every day of the week and twice on Sunday's. Not sure that GC would warm to it though.

Yep agree on surplus. I'd do Martin p13 for Caddy.

Overlooked that....how did I do that... Firms as a must have for mine at the Demons. Given the indecision of Boak staying at Port. But still, I have Caddy>Boak.

Wondering if Essendon would be prepared to part with their first round draft pick for Caddy ? They're currently 8th with a tough run home. That's pick 11 and if they drop further it could be as low as pick 9 or even 8. If we were interested in him our mid first round compo pick would be more favoured to be used I would think and it would comeback to a player in return. What would GC be after ? Probably the higher pick.
  17. Much like a game of chess in preparation. Sheedy said a while back "Melbourne won't want to dance with us."
  18. Could be a two week injury the quad.
  19. I hope Paul Roos doesn't almost fall off the couch at the thought of another Cup. Or in this case the Whitfield Shield game between GWS v GC. Because Paul Roos frowns at nurturing a "losing culture mentality"....
  20. Starting this week old dee.
  21. Ugh Bananas ! I think that is an adequate ban old dee. I'm going to Etihad to support the boys too, I'm sure some here would view that as enough punishment for mentioning his name in this thread. We apologise Redleg !
  22. I'm thinking more the latter. The size of the contract by GWS to Scully thanks to our clubs tabled offer tipped the compo scales in our favour.
  23. At the moment they would be absolutely livid. Just ask Mark Stevens (Hun/Dog supporter) - he hasn't stopped writing about it - like a dog with a bone ! (snigger) ! He will keep on it at draft time, and forever more through Ward's career at a guess.
  24. - Google Side effects:Too much of it (particularly through parts of Asia) causes those consuming it to spiral out of control with rash statements about club lists, recruiting and wanting answers already given ! kidding

If all that was to come to fruition we'd burst through 40,000 members before easter. < Thinking to self, "shite, it's round 18 and just have a listen to me - what a muppet !"
