Anyone for cricket?
Again. What an innings to date by the skipper. The type of innings you would hope for in India in a bit if trouble at 5/150 odd. Great support by Moises in his debut. Was getting updates at the game tonight.

That's correct TD. Good pick-up. * Powell back in to pool. * You have two picks remaining Django and they must be one from Pakistan and one from Sri Lanka. The two teams you are yet to pick from. You have already used up two selections from 3 countries...as per opening post and TD's post. * This pick will be at the end with your other pick. * 45HG you can pick again if you wish or keep Rudolph. That's up to you. *Biffen can you please wait until 45HG has confirmed his pick, before you commence your pick.

I think Clarke will captain for quite a while, he has a terrific cricket brain and is switched on; like Mark Taylor, prepared to take some risks and strategically sound. Watson, tbh I haven't given much thought about him as a Test captain, until now. He is to me, Australia's version of Jaques Kallis (obviously not as good or as durable), he is big and strong, he has a good eye and technique and can score at a decent clip and he can take wickets with the ball. I just think he is a good back up if anything to Clarke, but he's main concern is staying fit, healthy and injury free. I think he's better suited to concentrating on his game and I don't think (actually I don't know) if he has the strategic and captaincy mindset for the top job with everything it entails. I hope that answers it.

To some it might be Redleg. But I can understand the confusion of many. The final outcome from the governing body (The AFL) is that we didn't tank and didn't go out to deliberately lose games having considered all the evidence, and I can live with that . But the $500K (third largest AFL fine handed out) and the suspensions of key coaching/managerial staff is damning. The information from the regular meeting in the vault should never have come to light. That's where the blame should lie in all this. Four people came forward, and informant among the club allegedly supplied information to Caroline Wilson. Then there was Brock McLean. Our club has had backstabbing snitches with gripes. These people would rather battle for power or bring someone down than see this club prosper in pursuit of a flag. It's virtually unheard of at other powerful AFL clubs. These are the people who should be in the spotlight. These are the people who are holding this club back now. The Board have been cleared, the CEO was exonerated after all the collated evidence. These people I speak of have Connolly and Bailey's blood on their hands, not to mention a $500K noose around the clubs neck.- Anyone for cricket?

MATE!!!!! Where do you want me to start! lol. I've put comments on here regarding Starc and his non selection in the Boxing Day Test. Well documented. It devastated him. Maybe you missed my post(s), that can happen. He is in my Best XI side. I think he will thrive in England. And I'll report from Manchester, just for you Macca.- Anyone for cricket?

This has been my take. If we are penalised at all, Demetriou must go; the Commission must look at replacing him if they're serious about the games integrity. Anderson has already gone as a result I believe for opening the investigation and other activities such as allegedly sitting on drug information provided to him 12 months ago in relation to Essendon.- The No T$ No B$ Thread
