  1. joining the invasion day mob may seem trendy, moonie, but it's not very original and becoming passe. i'm sure you'll take the day off anyway and enjoy yourself.
  2. better than the negative ancestor loathing syndrome of the perpetually aggrieved class, moonie
  3. you can always leave, moonie
  4. pretty likely assumption in this case, od. biffo will presumably correct me if i'm wrong. are you offering odds?
  5. that'll teach you for posing as a shiela, dieter
  6. maybe the missing brownlow medal case can be re-opened as a cold-case under some future afl regime?
  7. noted, wimp ethan
  8. nah biffo, air-con is for wimps and hipsters
  9. too bad, biffo. up river, eh? no doubt retracing the steps of the great capt willard
  10. hey biffo, had any luck in pham ngu lao finding any 457 candidates to sponsor for your "businesses"? love you long time.
  11. what an evil thought, ernest. i would have thought death may have calmed your impetuosity, but apparently not
  12. a jolly good flogging should suffice this time, dieter
  13. a thread prerequisite, ethan
  14. A pity, earl. I'd really hoped you might have been there to pump gillon for some juicy news as there would be no chance you'd bump into him at a canberra gallery or exhibition (unless it was one on the national game of course). julie would have been disappointed you couldn't stand in for her. look forward to your trip report.
  15. Banana Fact #231 Did you know japanese people literally wear bananas as clothing? Anyone for a banana kimono?
  16. they never really were r&b......it was always "abroad"
  17. you should see the arguments on history fora regarding ethnic connections/ownership to alexander the great. at least 6 balkanic countries claim a slice of the pie. the arguments make demonland look like a haven of calm and reason. lol
  18. seems they do, doc. see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Croats
  19. you're good dieter
  20. originally celtic, then romanised, then germanised..........hmmmm....reminds me of another european country
  21. I wonder what the little man with the funny toothbrush would think of his birth country now
  22. well doc i never claimed he was croation. i'd class him as ethnically austrian with a technical claim to croatia and a 50% genetic claim. With croatia currently having a good dose of nationalism i'm sure they'd readily claim him, but that's a different story
  23. at the time, bub i believe it could accurately be described as either the kingdom of croatia or the austrian empire so either croatian or austrian would be correct point being it was still croatia at the time, not a country per se but a kingdom
  24. heard our own earl hood was spotted at portsea for the big polo gig, gallantly standing in for julie bishop who mysteriously couldn't make it. i always wondered whether earl might be a closet hooray henry. i do hope he had a good chat to gillon while he was there and can fill us in on the latest afl shenanigans
  25. half croation, half austrian born in croatia......take your pick
