  1. we obviously really messed with their brains last week
  2. seems aints can't play marvel so sad
  3. that certainly was a long harrowing and tragic read. i do hope his life stays turned around child abuse is such an horrific and devastating crime it's also such an insidious and secretive activity carried out by very calculated people for too long no-one wanted to talk about it (victim or just anyone) and it was ignored, disbelieved or brushed under the carpet with little or no consequences to the perpetrator(s) sadly paedophilia still thrives and has gone further underground. It's perpetrators could come from any class or occupation. I was just reading yesterday of the current trial of Sir Ron Brierley an active paedophile at 85 ffs. they are everywhere. Increased vigilance, more transparency and education of minors is still required
  4. to be fair,od, they've only had 12 months to prepare for it. pretty hard to do that from home when you don't have a clock on the wall and a great window view of the cbd.
  5. yes dj, you'f think they'd have worked out how to change the earth's tilt by now
  6. filth had an old men's night......top disposals winners were pendlebury, sidebottom and grundy doesn't say much about their list
  7. hahaha nobody asked for any verbatim anything. your reading comprehension is sadly lacking your lack of info and definition saddens me and encourages me to ignore your prognostications
  8. all you've said is he was unhappy (no details) he was very close to leaving (what? talked to other clubs? manager shopped him around? club got offers? he asked to leave? surely if he was "very close" other better connected than you sources would have said something in media?) you got it from an inside source (not even any vague details) Like I said you need to do better than that or change your very strong statement
  9. you'll have to provide more info than that, wyl
  10. well i doubt the media will take any notice of pert's request for darren's privacy
  11. don't think there is a vfl practice game this week. there is one the week after (afl rnd 4 equiv)
  12. you gotta feel sorry for the aints (just kidding) must be tough for them not being able to leave the sprinklers on all night at marvel before a home game
  13. even if we had talked to dusty we still would have picked hwfua and trengove i'm over it, ancient history
  14. but you have to admit it would make zoning more workable
  15. well given we play afl matches on marvel stadium carpark roof, it's maybe not such a bad idea
  16. dunno about a backflip, yet they just decided to not table it at tonight's (?) council meeting but we shall see
  17. but that's defeatist our objective should be to lock him in long term and past fa
  18. yeah that's the second cliche ridden report of the magoos i've read on our web site this year i hope someone has a word in his ear.......he's not applying for a job as a political advisor
  19. no idea why they start so late the vfl (or whatever they call is SE Aust) seems a shambles this year. not only start late but like other years will have bye rounds because of odd number teams. there are standalone and afl-linked clubs. How they will handle travel and covid with low budgets is anyone's guess. As well they are playing modified experimental rules (e.g. dynamic zones at ball-ups) hardly a professional second tier suitable for developing afl list players
  20. i'd be trying to get a 5 (6?) year contract (with maybe extension options*) 3 is too little 7-10 is too risky * based on performance metrics, medical test and a formula for increase in $$s
  21. not so....the vfl season doesn't start for 3 more weekends, so he could play inter-club practice matches the next 2 weekends
