my dog likes prawns with the shells still on
-
Wow. Does that include pine apples?
-
Yep Just look at StK in last GF and replay
-
Er Lions 29,048??? They had final figures last season of 26,779 With the startup of GC and their poor showing/mgmt last year I'd expect them to slip.

Great pickup Dave. Any chance you could scan and post a few more from Album? I'm sure plenty would be interested. How about the collar on the guernsey. With rpfc's penchant for tradition, I wonder if he would like to see a revival?

true true, but this subject is more subjective than others haha, never said what i actually got, old dee P.S. In my day jumpers were supplied by the club (generally) so choice of numbers also came down to what was available in your size (S,M,L, XL etc) or close to.
-
So, different numbers mean different things to different players and different supporters. No surprises there really. Me personally, I always coveted a low number (being a show pony) I like to see the better players in lower numbers generally, but don't really give a rats clacker and whatever we say will have no bearing on the club/players re numbers

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - BILLY STRETCH

Thanks, I think Grints would agree he was a thug AT TIMES, but one is always more protective of their own. Still it serves no purpose to deny history. It was what it was. I think we had this discussion about Grints not so long ago. I liked him for all the good things he did and his undoubted courage P.S. I also liked Dipper and Matthews for all the good football they showed too -
I hope you are not encouraging young players to deliberately manufacture head high tackles to win frees? Mind you I admit I don't know how you prevent Selwood from doing it. He's not ducking his head, just bending his knees. He's fortunate he has a tough scone, but one day I suspect he will regret it. We also see players drawing head on tackle frees by diving forward into opponents legs/knees/boot. This might be courageous but someone is going to get a spinal one day

Well, tanking is not something one should brag about (though some will) Even disguised as list-management, tanking is still tanking Anyway, lets not bring up skeletons in the closet, please Back OT. I'm a great believer in good sportsmanship. I know its old-fashioned and out-dated but that doesn't bother me. Thats why I think Dipper and Matthews thuggishness (at times) behaviour has tainted otherwise excellent careers. And correct, I don't believe in "whatever it takes" if it involves encouraging thugs I don't expect to win this argument -

Well watch The Boys from Brazil. Cloning would be far simpler, less messy and a better probability outcome Shouldn't be long before SBS repeats it Still by the time it comes to fruition in 20 years or so, genetic engineering will be all the rage in AFL and without the long lead time. Imagine if Robbo had a "stay-on-feet" gene transplant 10 years ago. -

well check out how many times they were reported (even for those days) I said they were courageous, but I'm not talking about fair physicality where others came off second best. They were both snipers -
Coburg can't be that good. That makes 7 on training lists.

Maybe, but that doesn't change the fact he was a thug. As was his mate Matthews Both were good, courageous players who blotted their record by being thugs -
If you had said vivacious I wouldn't have questioned it Cheers
-
Ahhh, veracious as in (self) rightous?
-
Good to see BTW did you mean veracious or vociferous or voracious?
-
. . . unless you want to make a point about how good a supporter you are?

I'm really enjoying this discussion on Micro Economics If I ever start up an University, I will know where to look for lecturers Can I suggest we start a new thread on "Brain Surgery in the 21st Century"? Edit: Sp
