  1. And the best thing about that scenario is that it improves our pick 11 by one.
  2. While we may not pick up any of the bigger names touted as on the move we are circling like vultures to feast on any collateral damage caused by last minute salary cap squeeze outs and disgruntled under-paid team-mates. If trade week ends up as busy as it looks, someone decent is probably going to slip through.
  3. nice post - kudos
  4. We must not put injury prone players on our list. And we won't be trading picks for players as far as I can see.
  5. We have four picks in the top 20. I would be surprised if we picked up any speculative recycled players unless they were rookied.
  6. Rumours aren't true...... thats why they are rumours
  7. On the club site http://www.melbournefc.com.au/news/newsart...98/default.aspx
  8. The way Ox was speaking it sounded like it came from a club source. I won't paraphrase the wording because it won't be accurate but he wasn't stating it as his opinion.
  9. Ox on SEN said that Davey was not leaving the dees and is expected to sign a contract soon. Said that clubs trying to get him were wasting there time.
  10. Confirmed?
  11. People are passionate for the club H. We also want our Footballers to be passionate for our club. If thier passion wanes some of us want to know why.
  12. F%^ no? Please no!!!!!!!
  13. JL considering he was the bloke who started the thread his record and knowledge of this suggests its correct
  14. It's really important that we find out the reasons for it. I am concerned that for a bloke like Brock it wouldn't only be about $$$.
  15. I cannot see us using 1,2 or 18 to trade for players unless a quality young KPP forward comes on the market which is just not going to happen. We are taking mids with 1 and 2. I believe we need 18 or better to pick up a big forward. We need three high picks to fill these needs. If Burgoyne or someone of similar ilk and the club are entertaining joining forces then we will need to trade quality player/s to get a high pick to use as a trade. Given that we have only a few players of the required currency it is going to hurt.
  16. Burgoyne?? I cannot see us trading picks for players unless we trade players for picks ourselves. We simply can't afford to trade picks when we are taking mids with one and two. The only way we can pick up Burgoyne is with a scenario such as what you are suggesting.
  17. maybe even someone who sleeps around a lot
  18. I have trouble finding players to delist and whilst I think Clint improved this year its hard to see him keeping his spot.
  19. Good coach Mick Turner but his boys are great because Mick Turner coaches them
  20. Without trying to sound like an arrogant know it all: Mick Turner says a lot of things and all must be taken with a grain of salt. I don't know him personally but know a few people who do. He loves pumping up the tyres of his boys. That being said they will both potentially be very good footballers. We will definitely take Morabito or Trengove with pick 2. I have it on very good authority that this is the case unless there is a large about turn done prior to November. And this should be in the Jordan McMahon thread mate. Cheers
  21. Cale Morton, Jack Grimes, Lynden Dunn, Colin Garland (please God). We really need that tall forward!!!
  22. Yeah nah I just don't see his type as a priority. We have tall midfielders, the midfielders that we need to bring in need to be quick, skilled clearance players. I would rather use the spot on the list for that type of midfielcer, a true KPP forward and a ruckman.
  23. What position are you recruiting him for and what is his role?
  24. 2 years ago we had a lot of holes and we needed to recruit anyone who could play decent footy. These days we need to be more strategic. I would say no. We have others in his ilk who are superior.
