  1. Nah the clock must be an hour out because when I pressed F5 there was a new post showing 05:30 and it's 06:30.
  2. I like that 22. Tipping it'll be pretty close to that.
  3. Only problem with that was that Robbo was a very selfish football player by the end of his career.
  4. Exactly. We need memberships ATM, and that is more important than the negative effects of the expectations we are placing on our young players. In a few years it's not going to matter anyway. We will be dominant.
  5. I think that if Bailey does play Dunn forward this year in the absence of Jurrah it could very well be the making of him as a footballer.
  6. Thanks for sharing mate, glad to hear the comeback is going well.
  7. Jamar is the key to our season. He is the one player we can't afford to lose.
  8. 10 mins into the 3rd qtr, Dees by 5 points. If we can hold out till the end of the quarter and have the wind in the last we're a sniff.
  9. Great news looking forward to being able to listen.
  10. Rioli is likely to miss also don't forget. Given the assumptions by op, my R1 team: James Mac Warnock Frawley Joel Mac Rivers Bruce Davey Grimes Trengove Green Miller Pettard Maric Bate Jurrah Jamar Moloney Sylvia Int: Jones, Scully, Martin, Wonna/Jetta (whoever is in best form) I reckon that team could do alright against the Dorks on the G.
  11. 3 out of 6. I reckon we'll roll Adelaide, Richmond and Brisbane. 2010 will mark the return of the Dees home ground advantage. 5 years ago we hardly ever lost at the G and last year the players began to love it again late in the season, playing by far their best footy on the hallowed turf. I think we'll just get beaten by Nth and Hawks and lose by a big margin to the Pies.
  12. With any luck Wona and Bate will be available for selection. Bailey said this morning it's possible both will play this weekend.
  13. I think Dean meant to crack into the seniors by the 2nd half of the season. Sure he'll be playing for Casey well before that.
  14. 1 Jamar - Our most important player, and by a stretch too. 2 Bate - So important to our forward line, ready to explode with 50-60 goals this year. 3 Sylvia - His belief is growing fast now and he is ready for top 50 in the comp. Next step is to become a real danger when resting deep forward this year. 4 Davey - If we have the luxury of playing him forward of the centre this year he will rack up the goal assists like nobody's business. 5 Green - Ready to stake his claim for captain, my tip for the B&F this year. 6 Grimes - Will be a weapon in the midfield if he can stay fit, we saw that on Sat.
  15. Sorry mate but that kick from Jones was the worst kick I saw all day from either team. He tried to switch it 60 metres across ground to 1 demon with four essendon blokes around him. THat pass was never going to end up anywhere but over the opposition goal umpires hat. If he had of run over there and marked his own kick and run in and goaled it would have been the play of the day also, but it was never going to happen. I'm not faulting his endeavor, but that was a very, very poor decision.
  16. No. I loved Robbo, but last year his work in the forward line disgusted me. He always put Robbo b4 the team. It was time for him to go. We're still a month out from the season dude be patient.
  17. Don't think there's too much to worry about Sylvia. He pulled up at one point as if might have strained a hammy but I think he just landed awkwardly as he ran the game out fine after that from what I could see. Shocking news about Cale. I must admit I am kind of expecting the worse after seeing it. Was hoping it was just a killer cork. Gutted for the bloke.
  18. The Age are a mess. THey put M Bate in the best and he didn't even play, lol. Nup, he wasn't that good. He wasn't bad, but not in the bests. Sry to disapoint titan, I meant McKenzie.
  19. My observations: An improved performance on last week, given the players we were missing we should be very happy with the way the team performed. Most centre bounces we had mostly players with less than 20 games exp. - Jones - holds onto it too long as usual, poor game from him. - Bennel - got into it in the second half but just kept turning it over. Some horrible decision making. - Frawley, Rivers and Warnock - All very solid, similar to last week, these three are starting to become uber dependable. - Macdonald - Good game but put the ball out of bounds on the full twice in the back 50 with stupid dinky kicks, just like the one against Freo. Was involved in some excellent passages of play though. - Gysberts - Was at the game with his cousin so we were watching him closely, looked a bit lost out there but he was in amongst it at times and did some nice little things. Needs to adjust to the pace and learn where to run. - Jamar - If this guy plays 22 games this year we will be a 25% better team than last year. His ruckwork was bloody beautiful. 80% of our scores came when he was rucking, and 80% of Ess came when he wasn't. - Petterd - Very nice game, kicked some great goals and stood tall for a beautiful mark in the final quarter which really had me convinced he can make a career of playing in the forward line. - Maric - Again some good things, few goals, his defensive work in the back half was good which was what we needed. - Grimes - WOW. Just wow. If we had any doubts about him playing midfield they are gone. First rate game from a player who will be setting up goals for the MFC for years to come. His two goals on the run were pearlers. - Fitzpatrick - Struggled to get near it. - Sylvia - Awesome game, very dominant in the first quarter and a bit, took a few awesome contested marks, faded a bit after half time. - Scully - Got involved, few errors, hands are like lightning but just need to get used to pace of the game. He is firing his handballs off a split second too late and they are being affected by tackles. - Trengove - Pretty much the same as last week. - Newton - Came on at half time and played most of the 2nd half. Didn't get many opportunities, but his endeavor was good, that was about it. - Miller - Played like a leader out there, some good efforts. Let himself down a few times, his shocking set shot in the last really hurt us; the boys put in a lot to get it to him. Gysberts defensive effort to set it up deserved more. - MOrton - Was solid, bit worrried about the knock he copped. - Bartram & Bell - Usual efforts from them. Tried hard but struggled to make an impact. Bell went hell for leather at a few contests but failed to impose himself. - Moloney - Very quiet in the 2nd half, did he only play a half? - McKenzie - Was really excited by his attack on the ball, worked really hard on a number of ocassions to win the contested pill. Overall, if you put Bate, Green, Davey, J Macdonald, and Bruce into that team we would be looking good for a crack at the Hawks in round 1.
  20. Or you can just get a park a few streets away from the eastern end of the ground. Weren't too many dramas with parking last year using that method.
