  4. Not sure what the fuss is about. When the numbers are crunched, as some have done in this thread., we have procured a very good player for a fair price. Lever is a 10 year investment. He fills an immediate need now and will only develop and get better given his age. I also anticipate that his inclusion will make the likes of Pig and OMac better players as well It's all good !

  8. Yep. 10 & 27 (or whatever they end up being) and everyone moves on. Of course Crows will request 10 & our 2018 Pick 1 We will offer something like 10 & 45 or a second rounder from 2018 There will be posturing, chest-beating & media attention hogging Hopefully both clubs get that out of their system in about 24 hours, do the deal and get on with using the rest of the trade period to their benefit We will be paying the Crows what Lever is worth. Now. We will be paying Lever what we think he will be worth

Same story here. Don Lane used to explain the rules to us novices. Also followed Balmain with Blocker Roach, Benny Elias and Garry Jack who played the game like an AFL player. Was great to watch. Dropped off when they merged & Marcus Bai made me a rusted on Storm fan

Haha, one swallow Dappa Your Eagles have a long history of dropping games I want them to win and winning games I'd prefer they'd drop. I can't trust them Solid win though

Righto Macca, we'll see how long I last before I forget to put my tips in Let's start with Falcons Steelers (shudder) Eagles
  14. It won't cost anything like that I've been sniffing around the Crows forums Apparently Lever is overrated and can't defend one on one Sssshhhhh !
  15. Might just be me but I reckon there is a slight but nasty whiff of Hawthorn about this
  16. On the street or on BigFooty ?
  17. Reckon the OCRSL will regret this in the not too distant future. It will be sad to see that great old room & stage fall into disuse when it's been so vibrant. No doubt the Caravan Club will rise from these ashes but where ????? The roll call of acts they've had there is amazing. A couple of my fave gigs there were The Black Sorrows where the indefatigable Joe Camelleri spent a Sunday arvo blowing the roof off the joint and Joe Creighton's "Into the Mystic" show which is a cracker.
  18. Not many bands go from playing a cider festival in Wonga Park to selling out 4 gigs at the Corner in 6 months. I agree with Nut - check 'em out if the chance presents. Their album is worth the investment too. Going the vinyl seemed a good idea at the time but it's a [censored] to play in the car !
  19. A few old blokes in the eastern suburbs might get a bit of a hurry up Return of The Wiz
  20. I think the $800K is less of an issue than what we'd have to give up to get him - even if he wanted to come to MFC. Agree though, he is the type of player we need. Relentless outside running, great skills & decision making. It will be fascinating to see what becomes of the GWS squad should they win the flag in the next year or two. How many will stay and build on their success. How many will attempt to cash in and get a fat contract elsewhere.
  21. It’s more than just Reiwoldt and Montagna. Dempster, Gilbert, Fisher are all inching toward the veteran stage but are playing good footy. After Jones & Vince we have who ? Pedersen ? Heretier ? So to the original point " While their more senior players are better than ours " I'd agree that they are. Comfortably. Added to that Armitage is 27 as is Geary. Jack Steven is 26. We're still thin in this age group
  22. Yep - up til then he could only kick goals on Nathan Carroll People forget it takes a while for most big blokes to be AFL ready Which underlines why those dismissing Tom Boyd may well rue their words Also underlines what a freak we have in Jesse !
  23. You didn't make it up - I saw it too Flabbergasted I actually would rather have Cale Morton back
  24. Agreed. That and Salem's tackle on Cameron were the two load blowing moments of the day It is a very Ox-like play. Used to love the Ox running into open goal against Essendon trying to damage their cheer squad with his kick The 2015 leading goal kickers is a good read. Roughead, Cloke, N.Reiwoldt, Petrie & Pavlich all kicked less goals than Jesse. Hawkins kicked only 2 more than him, Franklin only 3 In his first year of AFL. The more you analyse it the more stunning it gets
  25. Would Like this several times if I could Jaded
