PREGAME: Rd 20 vs Richmond
Gus effectively took what could have been Dunstan's spot in the middle. I've said it before but it must be deflating knowing that no matter how well you perform at VFL level, it will only be an injury or in this case 2 or 3, that would see you promoted. I still see major issues with the selection process and integrity. Petty should be made to prove his worth at VFL level.

PREGAME: Rd 18 vs Brisbane
Yes to Dunstan. Particularly against Brisbane, who don't have the quickest mids. With regards to Grundy, a week ago he was Champion Data's All Australia starting ruck, so it isn't all that bad. You need to take a few different looks before the finals. I don't think it's a clear-cut omission.

Brenton Sanderson MKII. Too close to the players. A mate first, coach second.

Midfield ?
Rivers is a decent shout but actual centre square craft takes a long time to learn. Personally I'd be more comfortable with Harmes, Dunstan (in a week or two) and Jordon covering the gap.

Training Ground?
Correct - Facility link to high performance is a myth. Brisbane Lions won the threepeat out of dilapidated facilities in Brisbane. Waverley Park was hardly elite in Hawthorns threepeat era. The Melbourne Storm have won several rugby league titles out of AAMI Park, as have Melbourne Victory.

We'd probably still have Mission if Cameron Schwab was a capable CEO.

New Balance pay us around 75k less per year under their commercial teams. IG have ended up paying around 150k more. It was the Gold Coast Suns who pioneered these commercial terms with NB.

PREGAME: Rd 07 vs North Melbourne
Does having 48 & 2 for Casey, on the back of a month of solid form, tell you that regardless of form, you won't be picked in this side unless its a genuine like-for-like change? I don't like what it represents. Goody is brilliant but this has been a flaw of his before. Selection integrity is vital.

Farewell Luke Jackson
I believe the club is very interested in Sam Sturt of Fremantle. He has been watched live in the WAFL by the club twice in recent weeks. I'm still none the wiser on the actual situation with Jacko but believe Sturt would form part of any deal.

Farewell Luke Jackson
Absolutely love this mentality. It's the same way I feel about May in particular. I think it would have been far more powerful to see him stay with the GCFC and go down in history as their first flag winning skipper.

Viney Lever Oliver Jordon Jackson Brayshaw

Farewell Luke Jackson
He remains close with Trent, his parents are happy with his welfare at the club, he wants to repay the draft faith and the decision to give him an extended break in Perth pre-season, the offer is as flexible as he needs it to be, he wants to continue learning from Max and he generally isn't motivated by money or stardom.

I'm hearing positive things about Dogga staying for a couple of years

Farewell Luke Jackson
Trading Pick 2 to secure a player who is probably going to be better than the player they could draft, especially a gun KPF/Ruck/Utility Mid - would hardly compromise a rebuild. Having said that, on the proviso that Lachie Weller was traded for Pick 2, we should be asking for 2 First rounders and an early Second..

WCE are a far greater concern in this situation than Freo.
