  1. Wellingham - Trade Caddy - Trade Dawes - Trade Not FA as you're bleating we're not having a crack at
  2. Honestly, the 4 confirmed offers of FAs so far are Pearce (who's to say we didn't table an offer); Knights (he was headed to Richmond no matter what - plus has struggled in the last few years); Chaplain (turnover merchant and we're not in need of a tall back) and Goddard (2 out of 9 years he's been good, the rest he's been ordinary and not for $800k pa. thanks) So what more publically should we be doing, just to appease impatient supporters?
  3. Who are Adelaide picking up? West Coast? Hawthorn? North? Bulldogs? Port? GC? GWS? Saints? Haven't heard boo about them either And it's day 2 in a ONE MONTH process - just calm down If we'd signed up a few players day one, you'd probably complain they're duds anyway
  4. How did recent power house Geelong go in nabbing Dangerfield and Boak? Remind me
  5. Could someone please give me a definitive list of all of the players who have been pried away and traded to these powerful clubs? 99% of the good players that leave clubs and land at others do so because they've signalled their intentions they want out
  6. The only thing I enjoy about football now is Melbourne. So I'm unconditional. Doesn't mean I always like what they do, but I'll always support them If we disappeared one day, so would my interest in the game
  7. What's the slander of Liam there? It's one poster's opinion. He MAY be in jail and he FEELS Neeld and co. aren't happy with his work ethic It's not necessarily true or a view shared by everyone but the poster in questions hasn't said "he's a lazy so and so who will be in jail"
  8. The post's boasting the sentence "saaaaaaaaaaack neeld now" certainly are anti neeld and there's a handful of members pushing this barrow. What specifically re the Jurrah posts have left a nasty taste? And Clark has leadership, skill, courage etc. in spades. I eagerly await him delivering a bone crunching hip and shoulder, picking up the spilt ball and slotting a team lifting goal
  9. I think it can be said as it's seen, no one's trying to stop the small group of anti-Neeld's for example, more add the other side to the debate which they seem to want to ignore. Re your point, we've lacked this since Neitz retired.
  10. Talk about majoring in the minor. We've just had a tough year on field, we're seeing an internal shake up, a mooted list cull and we're talking about blazers the players wear to official club functions.......
  11. Have the exits (confirmed - Moloney; not accounting for Jurrah this was out of our control) and mooted exits moved us further away from a flag? Not in my opinion
  12. If it improved the team I no longer care about the individuals I care about the team If trading in Tippett got a closer to a flag, bring it on
  13. Bang on What's transpired is that over the last few seasons (decades?) the tail has been wagging the dog, and that's not going to continue under Neeld. And some people want to go back to status quo? Why? It got us where exactly? There's been a lot wrong with the club over the years. The drafting. The development. The coaching. The (dare I use the cliche) culture. Neeld, Misson and Craig IMO are the 3 most important figures with respect of our on field fortunes. Neeld coached one of the best midfields of recent times to a flag at Collingwood, a club renowned for having elite fitness etc Misson helped with his injury management, the Swans to their first flag in over 70 years Craig left Adelaide with a strong, mature, highly disciplined list, primed for the new coach I'll take these guys advice over people who don't like seeing their favourites swept out the door
  14. The counter argument is that Neeld is putting in place what has to be done (sorting the wheat from chaff and clearing out those not up to it) No one is saying Neeld WILL win a flag, more so they're happier with tough approach he's taking (something we've needed for some time) Those like GNF have book marked it as though Neeld WILL fail and don't want to give him the benefit of his contact
  15. News flash More than half of our team has been performing poorly since they were drafted Their year under Neeld was no different That's why we haven't played finals since 2006 You ask for debate, yet you don't want to recognise the other side of the debate. There has been a strong message from the core of list with re-signings. There has been little else for those wanting out and not strong enough to take the next step. As has been said and reported, Neeld and Co. (Craig included - so don't think it would be any different if he were to take over) stated we trained at about 40% capacity to their previous clubs (Collingwood, Adelaide, St Kilda) The ones who don't accept and want to buckle down are being shown the door. Put the dots together, it ain't Neeld
  16. I certainly recall having convos with fellow melbourne supporters at the surprise when Gyberts and Cook's names were called
  17. Only $100k pa of Vet's salaries now get taken out of the equation, however the difference being you are no longer limited to nominating 2 Vets
  18. I want Melbourne to be ruthless, unforgiving and do what it takes to win and achieve ultimate success. As long as it doesn't involve cheating that will put us in the poo later (a la salary cap) Don't care how other clubs view us, of if we start wars with the McGuire's of the world....if it's for the betterment of the club, then do it
  19. Yeah all these tough guy slogans did wonders for Carlton I honestly think if people are swayed as to whether to sign up or not based upon a few pointless marketing words, they're not worth having as supporters
  20. You need a pretty slogan to make you want to renew?
  21. Those intent on laying the blame on Neeld, and saying certain players have been hard done by, should read what is a refreshing and candid interview with Blease here Blease's shift in attitude this year was apparent. It was clear. And as a result of "buying in" and improving his football, he was rewarded with a contract. Those refusing to buy-in are on the outer for a reason
  22. Knowing what we went through as a club when Broady passed, I feel for family, PAFC, supporters and all involved
