But why the waterworks from Nicks? Surely if he had set expected standards of behavior regarding racial vilification he would be angry and dissapointed at Taylor for breaching those standards. Clearly there were no standards and the complaint was not raised internally at the Crows but taken directly to the AFL. Either someone had a grudge for Taylor or thought that raising it internally would go nowhere - which reflects poorly on the Crows culture. More of selfish display and reverse leadership from Nicks than anything.

I would have thought so too, even if you are allowed to kick it before it is still half way over the line, by the time it leaves the boot it will likely already be more than halfway over the line.... i guess my point is the digital or camera review has such poor resolution you wouldn't be able to conclude one way or another, so the original decision stands, unless it can clearly be seen to be an absolute howler.... So if it was ruled a point initially by the umpire, that decision would have equally stood

I guess quite a few melbourne supporters are not used to having weaker belief than the players after having believed for so long in the red and blue. maybe any supporter losing belief should show restraint and eat some humble pie before announcing their instinctive lack of belief. it may feel strange.... but will feel good at the end
