  1. I could see us having a few second round picks with Gys possibly going, also Martin and Morton are possibles and FA compo for Rivers/Moloney. Should be some run and spread players in second round.
  2. Well if it is Wines or Toumpas we are in a great positon.
  3. I meant that when you add more FA compo picks in, pick 26, still the same pick we use for JV, will slide and he becomes even cheaper.
  4. Believe it or not JV's pick at 26 may end up in the 30's. Add Goddard Saints pick, Dees, Rivers/Moloney etc.
  5. Classy young midfielders we can use in bucketloads. You asked how many you can play at once. Lets see, 3 at the bounce, 2 on the wings, 2 on the HFF, maybe 1 on the HBF, 3 on the bench. I make that 11 plus more needed for injuries and loss of form. Have we got say 15 good ones?
  6. I thought I heard something when I was on Demonland earlier.
  7. Correct, we certainly need "spread or quick skilful" players now. Adding Dawes and Pedersen to Hoagan plus what we already have does seem to make us pretty top heavy. I wonder if we need both of them. We will gain picks for trades and FA's and we should really be trying to improve our spread and carry. Pick 4 could be an O'Rourke or Wines. We need to add to that.
  8. Don't get me wrong I am very happy with players so far but I disagree on the massive unders bit for Hogan. 3 is a massive pick in this draft and the best available after GC gave pick 2 to GWS. I understand the side benefit but pick 3 to me is well worth a player who might slip next year, can't play for us next year and is taken then instead of say a Toumpas now. To add 13 for 20 even with Barry is overs in my view. The drop from 13 -20 will cost us possibly Kennedy or someone as good. Nevertheless we have a potential star in Viney, another in Hogan, an exciting kid and pick 20 to use on probably Dawes. So I suppose if we said we would have Viney, Hogan, Dawes and Barry for 3,13 & 26 we would be happy.
  9. I can't I am addicted. Some of the rubbish defies belief, but it's great reading.
  10. Amen. You know I can't mention him, but I was thinking, how funny would it be, with Whitfield and Toumpas and others added to the GWS list, if he can't make the side. $1M a year to play in the local seconds.
  11. Depending on how trades pan out he may get one more year. If anything is offered for him I think he will be gone, considering who we are looking at.
  12. I think he will probably leave.
  13. Few deals done. Think we will have Hogan tomorrow or Wednesday, the way Harrington was gushing about him. If we can get pick 20 back in the deal I can see the Dawes deal being done for that quickly, so Pies can move on. Eddie is referring to him as a past player already. He seems happy to come to us, unlike Wellingham and Caddy.
  14. Don't think he would be that complimentary unless the deal was done. Otherwise you could see the price rising on the back of his comments. Sounds like a done deal.
  15. I know what you are getting at, but also look at the price for top MD pick was ND pick 2 with something back. Can't see us paying more for ND pick 2 even with a side benefit. Actually the benefit may be with the other two, as they get their deals done.
  16. Change the 4 to a 3 and it might be possible. I would prefer 3 for Hogan and 20 or Jed Anderson.
