I actually found the Robbo article denouncing the Bomber Mother's call as a fake, mind boggling. Obviously the woman didn't want to give her name, so as to not out her son. Robbo is suggesting that a lady rang up the radio, had what seemed to be a thorough understanding of what happened, was not a Bomber's mother, but was a brilliant enough actress to cry throughout the interview and make everyone listening believe she was who she said she was. Couple that with the fact that she had spoken to Eddie and his producers off air, who also believed she was who she said she was. If she was a fake she was brilliant and clearly extremely well informed. Who would have informed her if she was not a player's mother? Why would she go to that trouble if she was a fake? I can find only one fake in this latest little episode and that is Robbo. He is pretending to be a journalist when he is nothing but a mouthpiece. Shame on you Robbo, you have no credibility in my eyes.

Thanks for that insight BB, I was unaware of that situation. We have made so many bad decisions in the last few years, that is the reason we are where we are. Those bad decisions included drafting, development, trading, coaches, administration etc. The one thing this club needs to get right going forward, is to make the right decision wherever possible.

For a pick 4 it is starting to get really worrying. Blease is now gone. If Roos plays Nicholson ahead of him that says it all. Under the roof, dry ground , Blease's pace would have been very handy. Has been in our best 3 at Casey often but still overlooked.

Very interesting that the players don't want to be involved in the legal proceedings, unless the Show Cause Notices are enforced in the near future. They don't want the stress, expense or loss of anonimity according to their Counsel. So the proceeding ATM is being conducted by parties who haven't been given Notices by ASADA. I said in my post their gain would be to not lose another good player before their pick. Then again remembering my paranoia, I am sure we would pick a dud and it wouldn't matter.

I know. The paranoia makes me even think that one day the fixture could be done in such a way, that lowly clubs like Melbourne will be disadvantaged, by getting all the worst times, so as to kill any chance of financial improvement.

I am filled with paranoia I know, but could this happen to us. As the compensation to a club who loses a Free Agent is based on his new contract, could a manipulative club, wishing to avoid slipping further down the draft order, get a player to agree to a low one year deal in writing, on the promise of a huge new contract in the following years? The low one year contract, could see say a 3rd round compensation pick given to the club losing the player, instead of a 1st round pick.

Why, because he wants more money than we will pay, or he wants to play in Grand Finals sooner rather than later. He is not a fool just because he leaves the club you support.

Whatever happens, he has had a disappointing year. He went back last week in the second half, where the ball was all the time and managed 1 possession for the half. His passing now consist of bombing it a mile in the air. He doesn't seem to chase. He really seems disinterested. I think he is gone.
