I am scared to think what some of you blokes have put in your xmas egg nog.

Good memory to remember the horse. Yes he was ok.

Merry Xmas guys, have a happy and healthy new year and of course Go Dees.

Most likely the time of year and the fact that you need to get 3 written judgments, from 3 different judges, who may have a backlog of decisions to write and give. Someone told me the other day that they had been waiting for a Supreme Court single judge decision for over a year.

A pre trouble Jurrah, alongside Hogan, with Dawes, Howe, Watts and the crumbing of Garlett, Kent and JKH, oh if only.

Can you have a Captain who can't mark a football?
-
Given our recent history I don't think people are expecting him to be a superstar from his first game. I am sure they would wait until his second game.

If she needs some help let me know and I will call the pond and speak to her.

I went last week and they looked in pretty good shape except of course Trenners and Watts nursing a groin. Hogan won 3 x 1k runs and looks just awesome. I have a man crush on him. Billy Stretch is slight and was also on a modified day. Petracca and Brayshw look ready to go with the mature recruits like HT, Garlett, Frost and Newton. They worked hard and the vibe was good with a lot of encouragement being given by players to team mates. I really believe there is a change in culture with most players from the losing culture having left. I am optimistic of a good year of improvement depending of course on injuries.

Carlton are trying really hard to bump up their membership numbers, with lots of publicity about how good they are going ATM. Daisy and Kreuzer are being pumped up by MM, who is adopting a new, ultra media friendly personality. It is sickening.

Federal Court now said not before the New Year.

Yes RIP Joe and you'll get by in heaven, With a Little Help from Your Friends.

Hit a plateau at 3.5kg's lost.

Too early to tell if he is a seriously good AFL player, but he was at TAC level. He is a hard nut as well. It is just another little thing to keep us interested this year, beside watching the Dees. Who knows if the recruiting guys are really interested? Just nice to look at possibly getting a player all year, instead of losing one.

It's not just the junkets, it's the extra time and costs when you get them here.

I am pretty sure Kent has grown. He looked a bit taller when I saw him at training last week. Anyone have any info? He is listed at 179cms but definitely looks taller. -

You mean I get a free movie ticket when I buy a bottle of Pinot?

But with far less cost and use of resources.

I said in an earlier post that the Bombers were bringing in experienced players from other clubs, clearly to minimise the effect of having about 10 or so senior players suspended. In the article on Winderlich changing his mind on retirement and committing to one more year, it mentioned of course that he was not one of the 34. By dragging this out and seeing many of the 34 leave or retire and new players brought in to replace them, the Bombers have minimised the effect of suspensions.

Given that he is probably a better player than several of our zillion mids and that several of them will be gone at end of next year, there is room for him. Also he has some mongrel in him as well, something I and probably Roos loves.

To you wine experts, is a Pinot always a Noir, or are they different reds. Also isn't a Pinot Grigio white?

Sorry to discuss footy on the thread, but I taped the Crows v Dees game and have just watched the 1st quarter again. I tried to concentrate more on what we were doing than the result, as of course I know it. In that 1st quarter, Matt Jones made about 6 skill errors. Frawley was easily beaten for possession quite a few times. JKH showed some real endeavour and talent. Watts looked good when he went, which was rare. Dawes fumbled about 5 marking attempts. Terlich was brilliant at giving the ball back. It is interesting watching the game with a different mind set.
