  1. Billings says hi.
  2. Well certainly the egg thrower.
  3. Well we certainly agree on that.
  4. They are actually loaded Bluey. $440m is a nice start.
  5. That is disappointing Luci as you have been a very good contributor to DL. Hope you have a change of heart ,but in the meantime thanks for your posts and keep well.
  6. We knew this was coming, when they let him off. Now as an eternal pessimist, I can see the first club affected will be the Dees.
  7. That’s great, I am currently on a cruise, eating myself into oblivion and you offer me vanilla slices. Btw, I can’t walk to Casey.
  8. Main factor in all this, is what is available. Clearly the whole concept is attainable at Caulfield, whereas it probably isn’t at Port Melbourne. I am pretty sure while fans convenience might be a minor factor, it is only a minor one and the main one is what is actually available and attainable. We therefore don’t need to waste time convincing everyone, that more Dees fans live near Caulfield than Port Melbourne, even though it’s a no brainer. I can’t wait to stand next to you, while you are doing your training reports from the fantastic new MFC training base at the Racecourse and then sharing a coffee with you nearby.
  9. No surprise difficult negotiations for Maddie Gay trade, of course with Essendon.
  10. Well it’s certainly not Port Melbourne. You can take that to the bank.
  11. Which part are you querying, where I live, that so many Caulfield homes sported our colours for the 21 GF, or that you are in the minority on your view on the Caulfield Racecourse, as our future training base. If it’s the last point, simply go back and count up the fors and againsts in this thread and it is clear.
  12. Think you are in the minority Picket and yes, I declare I live 10 minutes walk from the Racecourse. I also note when we made the 21 GF, every second or third home seemed to have Melbourne colours adorned.
  13. Especially when it involves the best and most modern facilities in the AFL.
  14. And thank you for yours too, always on the money. I understand the sensitivity of certain issues, but the club could simply say something is being worked on and they are hopeful, or confident of a successful outcome. That type of comment avoids specifics, but still informs to a degree. The club should know that its fans love any positive info. Keep up the good work Danny.
  15. Personally I can’t see any better alternative and the possibilities there are enormous. Exciting times ahead.
  16. Not to blow my own trumpet, but a few months before that, I said that Caulfield would happen, after a number of issues like length of lease/licence, community involvement and finance etc, were worked out. But more importantly than who is breaking the news is of course the news itself. Go Dees.
  17. Where did you get $570m from. Our development would not cost anything like that.
  18. Leave the humour to me and Demonstone, Bin.
  19. Maybe the slitherers wanted you out.
  20. Also definitely.
  21. We won’t see the houses falling at training now, as the Casey sessions will be closed until next year.
  22. Well you couldn’t work at Subway then.
  23. Well he won’t be participating as sub.
  24. You had to love the way Sir Les spat drink or saliva on all his interviewers.
  25. Maybe listen to Rindi Ross of Quarterflash, on the song Harden My Heart and your spirits will lift, or The Heat is On by Glen Frey.
