Sorry Mandy.

Thought that was fantastic to see his joy at the news. Go get em Bull.

That is exciting seeing more kids get a go and our depth increasing as a result.

Good luck to him. Kept at it and will play his first AFL game. Reward for perseverence. Hope he gets showered with gatorade in the rooms after the game.

Agree.

I get annoyed when media types like Robbo blatantly distort facts, like saying that when Jessie hit Rowe, Rowe wasn't looking at him. Not only was he looking at Jessie he was pushing him in the chest when Jessie lashed out. Also it has been described all week as a strike or punch, until today when it has been admitted on the AFL site to be an open hand. Just prefer the media to try and be accurate, which clearly is very difficult for them.

They will do nothing, unless the damage is caused illegally.

If this is correct we don't need to get too excited. " Early in 2017, the out-of-contract Lever indicated he planned on signing another contract with the Crows, remaining in Adelaide despite his Victorian roots."

Duly noted.

Especially since Blues knocked back Crows first and second round picks last year . Dreaming!
-
Averaged 12.7 disposals first year and that rose to 17.6 in a year with concussion issues last year and then 21 in round 1. Bit rough to compare him to Toumpas and to state he has stopped developing.

Were you one of those that wanted Hunt delisted?

From an Article on AFL site. Melbourne pair Jordan Lewis and Jesse Hogan were this week slapped with heavy bans for crude hits, with medical reports from Carlton playing a crucial role in the verdicts. Lewis was suspended for three matches for a strike that left Blues midfielder Patrick Cripps with a small hairline fracture in his jaw, while Hogan accepted a two-game ban for an open-palm strike on defender Sam Rowe that caused late-onset concussion. WATCH: The extra vision that damned Demon pair Carlton presented a clear summary of both players' medical circumstances to the MRP on Monday, ultimately convincing the Panel to grade the impact of both strikes as medium. A maximum impact grading of high is typically reserved for displaced fractures and, increasingly, for concussion. The MRP can also upgrade impact as it sees fit, based on the risk of serious injury. Riewoldt said the focus on medical reports when setting MRP penalties was a grey area that led to similar actions being punished differently. "I'd say that too much is put into the medical report," the star forward said on Fox Footy.

Not perhaps, definitely.

Vince for Lewis is a given. If Kent is fit I see him in for Hogan. You need pace at Etihad and Kent has that and aggression, while also being a goal kicker. They will want forward pressure and to me Kent is the likely one in with Vince.

You mean Brad Scott.

Suns might throw the sink and the whole house. Would the Dockers throw the whole street at him? No he is a mate of Lyon's I forgot, unless of course Lyon got another gig.

In an article on the AFL website on the topic of Roos coaching again, the following was written: In the eyes of this column, Roos’ time at Melbourne was a resounding success for he resuscitated a lifeless, stricken club, and gave it hope when there had been none for too long. But, as is often the case with football clubs, there are now some connected to Melbourne who say he couldn’t have left soon enough. Jesse Hogan would’ve returned to Perth, some are now saying, had Roos stayed. Other players would have sought new homes, it has been stated from within. Simon Goodwin and his more attacking, free-the-players’-minds outlook on life was deliberately held back by Roos, they’re now murmuring. These things are easy to say after one has gone. The fact is the Demons were an unmitigated mess when Roos started at the end of 2013. Two rounds in to 2017, they are seen as a strong possibility for finals. Roos was coach until the Demons’ last game of 2016. His charter was to leave it a far better place than the one he entered. He did. Can’t imagine him caring one bit about what some are saying now that he has gone. Interesting if true, that several players would have left if he stayed. I thought they all loved him.

We are all moving on now, but your point has merit, even though we can't do anything about other incidents. I think we should be raising two issues with the AFL. The first is the general inconsistency of the MRP. The second is the fact that we appear to have been done by the Carlton Doctor without any checking of accuracy as to his report. I am pretty sure his report has not been challenged or tested by any independent Doctor, or even ours for that matter and therefore conclusions that the Blues players were hurt in the incidents with our players, are what has led to both boys being suspended. I feel confident that without a medical report both would have escaped with a fine. The old "insufficent force" could have saved them. However, when you look at what happened after the incidents, it seems inconsistent to some degree with the conclusion. Neither player was removed from the ground, even though attended by medical staff on the ground. Cripps never touched his face or cheek. Both continued playing. There has to be room for doubt as to when the injuries, or illness in Rowe's case, were sustained. I can understand why we haven't appealed: a need to get on with it, a reluctance to upset the AFL and the known failure rate of appeals. However it does leave a bad taste in the mouth, when unanimously agreed worse incidents got off and our players went down, because an unchallenged report of the Doctor from the aggrieved player's club, is what is used to suspend players. What if both players were hurt in other incidents and the Doctor made a mistake. All that said, Lewis was silly with his record and Hogan was clumsy. At least both boys can freshen and other clubs are aware of some aggression in our side, that maybe shouldn't be provoked. That won't hurt in the long run.

Take it as read, both Blues will play.
