  1. The same free kick ratio has seen Brad Scott seething. We are used to it.
  2. Well you will love this one too. The MFC is back.
  3. Absolutely agree with you Nasher. I love this kid and any Dees supporter that questions him over this is just wrong. Just think back to when he got up last year after Cyril shirt fronted him. Plenty of others would have been stretchered off. The fact that when he got up he went after Schofield says it all. Oliver is one of the main reasons we are where we are.
  4. And I was worried he is a bit small when I met him, before he had played a game for us. Well I know what is not small about him, his heart, it must be the size of an elephant's. Inspirational player, fearless like his dad. Epitomises our new toughness.
  5. 23-15 in favour of WC at 3/4 time. More than 50% more frees to WC. Biggest certainty of all time. AND in a close game where they are gold.
  6. Can you bet on free kicks stats? I would say WC would be unbackable at odds on, to get more frees than the Dees. Has been the one constant of these games over the years.
  7. No we wouldn't.
  8. Wouldn't mind some poetic justice tonight, seeing Shuey limp off, not to return, with a hammy or whatever, at the 2 minute mark of the first quarter.
  9. Woeful enough to have 3 emergencies who are regulars. Other than the injured Kennedy and Nic Nat who has been out all year and the out of form Le Cras they are all there.
  10. He has an attribute that several others in our side don't, he has good disposal. I also have high hopes for him.
  11. That is not correct as a free kick can be paid before the game starts. 15.1.3 When a Free Kick May be Awarded A Free Kick may be awarded when the football is or is not in play. For the avoidance of doubt, a Free Kick may be awarded: (a) if an infringement occurs on the Playing Surface before the commencement of a quarter, in which case the Free Kick shall be taken at the Centre Circle or where the infringement occurred, whichever is the greater penalty against the offending Team; and
  12. Agree with you and I would add a Steven May type, though he will stay with the Suns I would think. Would be interesting to see how the FD see it.
  13. The point I find interesting in all this is that before the bounce Wood and Hunter put Bugg down twice and Wood then pushed him in the back to the ground again. All of this with an umpire a few feet away watching. How the hell is there not a free kick for all of that. Umpire just watches and does nothing. Absolute joke.
  14. I think we are slowly seeing the emergence of a fine key back for us. Another pre season after another 10 or so games and maybe another 7-8 kgs of muscle and we will have a very good one. BTW, I think the same for Weid, though he may not get the extra 10 or so games this year
  15. Yep. That was a seriously good performance from a team without its two star players. I just loved our pressure, it was unbelievable.
  16. What's the odds that Dogs target one of ours, possibly Watts or Oliver to show how tough they are.
  17. I know I am a pessimist, but Dogs have probably their best side in this week, with Libba back to help Wallis, Bont, Hunter, Dahlhaus etc in the middle and coming off a loss and I think without Max and Jesse, we might be in for our biggest loss of the year. Again I hope the boys prove me wrong, but I have less confidence today, than in any game so far this year.
  18. And there you have it.
  19. We clearly will need fresh legs in the next weeks with the 6 day breaks and Perth trip. I would bring in players like JKH, Billy and Wagner next week to give us some run. Eagles are hard to beat over there and maybe some fresh run and desire to stay in the team may help. We will need some fresh players again for the Swans game, so resting some is the way to go. We may have found another player in Maynard though he is not a youngster.
