    I didn't, I am smiling.

Don't be unfair, he could play, but was cruelled by several injuries. He was also tough. Two attributes not held by Cook.

Is it time to raise Lucas Cook again?

When is the next training session in Melbourne? Presume it's after the tennis has finished.
  5. Don't worry about Selwood's stats when you discuss him. It would be fair to say he has played under worse ruckmen than Jones and it is not his team mates giving him the ball, that sees him starring, but rather his grabbing it himself and taking the game on. Selwood is a true star of the game and would be one, playing for any team. I don't think Pro Dees post is really about whether Jones is as good as Selwood, but rather that we need our young mids to kick on, with some of them becoming stars.

Just ran into former Demon Director Ross Mitchell, the brother of 3AW's Neil Mitchell. Ross now lives on the Gold Coast and still follows the Dees. Like most of us, he likes what he is seeing at the club and is hopeful of a return to regular finals for us.
  7. I get what you mean. He clearly has "starred" for us, but is he a star of the competition, probably not. Can he drag us over the line to win games, the way a Selwood does, or a Pendlebury does, or a Fyfe does and the answer is no. He clearly is a vital cog in our team, but as you say, we need the new bunch to go past him and become stars of the AFL.

It is polite society on this thread, unlike some others, where the abuse is so unedifying.

Wonder if it was as bad as Selwood's knee?

Some had Stringer as low as 20. It is in many respects a lottery, as you are guessing not who are the best juniors, but who will develop into the best AFL players. Then there are factors like injury, development, opportunity and the assistance of good players around you.

And a banana and cinnamon smoothie today, I am on a roll.

Your marriage appears to be going off the rails. Take control man. You are the train driver, don't let the conductor drive the train. On a happier note for my marriage, Mrs. Redleg and myself just had a couple of banana smoothies with our breakfast up here on the Gold Coast. Looks like things are on the up.

The guy that all of Demonland was speculating over all summer, thinking we might get him from the Suns.

Attractive young lady with him as well. It would be great if she was a Melbourne girl. Daniel Currie and his lady friend were with them.

I am ashamed to admit this, but my wife is trying to get me off banana smoothies and onto those green juice drinks, in an effort to assist with my weight loss and improved health.

Unlike some others, I am more concerned at the summer hiatus of Gerard Wately's, ABC, Sunday morning sports show, the Offsiders.
