The first two would make us a much better team. We can only hope.

We extended Bill by 2 years when we could have waited until end of year. No one was chasing him, why then. He isn’t a regular AFL player even.
  3. I don’t know what you are implying, but it is difficult to criticise the best player in your team so far this year. There are plenty more who do so much less. If it’s off field, then I am unaware of it. On field my only criticisms are his taps are not going to advantage enough and he can spray his kicks a bit. When a sole ruckman also averages about 25 possies it is hard to criticise. I am more concerned why great disposers like Salem and Bowey can’t pass a ball 20 metres and why so many are clearly not putting in.
  4. You can add losing Smith without replacement, remembering his last game was in a final which saw him our major scorer. JVR has missed games and we also lost Harmes who was depth. Spargo hasn’t played at all and Hore has rarely played.
  5. Did anybody?

Club has listed JVR at 193 cms and Kentfield at 194 cms.

Would be good to know, as have seen different heights for both stated.
  8. Probably agree, but I am convinced he would do better than the 2 possessions Petty got, with one being a Joe the Goose.
  9. Agree. There is more chance of me playing, than Clarry getting axed.
  10. Hope you are right.

Would love both and they would make a difference.
  12. Well I got that wrong. Must have been swayed by last year.
  13. Not certain, but I think this is one ground where we kick particularly poorly for goal.
  14. I don’t see any Demon doing anything to Maynard. We won’t want suspensions and nothing less than a suspension worthy act is worth doing anyway. Pushing and shoving is meaningless and just wastes energy and is distracting from the game. The best thing we can do is win by a landslide and then a marking attempt which accidentally knocks Maynard out is the best quinella.
  15. So if true, the AFL decided before the Tribunal hearing that he would get off. So much for integrity. Again, if true, reaffirms why this is not a sport but a business.
  16. You can understand why so many can’t stand the AFL Administration. I believe that without Maynard they lose the PF to GWS ( 1 point win ) and if they did get to the GF, they lose that couple points win. The AFL imo was never going to rub him out, just like the absurd technical garbage overturn of Cripps suspension to allow him to win the Brownlow, while Ah Chee missed the finals.
  17. Or ever again, if you want to resort to silliness, instead of a sensible discussion about one game for Casey missed being “ crucial “ to his football development as you posted. You win I’m out.
  18. With our ever changing forward line, slightly changed backline, lack of real backup for Max and against the Dockers, I am worried about this game.
  19. So he has moved but is out injured. Ok. I disagree that missing playing today, not knowing any game plan, hardly knowing his team mates and with a below AFL level fitness, was “crucial “ to his development.
  20. Good post Saty. I didn’t think AMW had any chance of playing at AFL level, but have changed my opinion this season, after his much improved play.
  21. Settle down. Playing this week will have absolutely no bearing on his future with us. May have had things to sort out before he moves his life across the country.
  22. Verrall is 19 isn’t he? I have said he will be an LJ type not a Max type.
  23. Or it’s a way of getting clubs to take a chance on them, with only a short term commitment, if they fail to convince the club to retain them for a longer term.

A win puts us 3rd and a loss, heaven forbid, puts us in the ruck,
