  1. Not a fan of the women's game but having watched it on replay, will make a couple of comments, the free kick was a lucky one but our girl did put her arm across the WB girl's neck, yes the throw in should have been recalled, but what about manning up in defence, our tall forward never touched the ball all game and our kicking for goal again was poor and highlighted by a miss from 3 metres out that would have won us the game. We lost it.
  2. Cocky played for Cats VFL team but won't play, as they won't take multiple players in without sufficient match practice. Agree Gary looks set to play. Hopefully Tom Mac gets up and he has a good fitness base.
  3. Planning the big effort for the Lions game at the Gabba. Travel on the day will be car to Tullamarine, plane to GC, car to Surfers, then walk, tram, train, bus, bus, train, tram, walk. A nice variety of travel indeed. Hopefully it ends up in a Dees win. PS. Almost forgot, hopefully a banana snack on the train.
  4. Yes.
  5. They won't. Imagine the outcry if he tears it properly and misses a couple of months. No way would Scott allow any thoughts of them being a one man team.
  6. Was mum tough too?
  7. Much like your good self.
  8. Think it will harder to do that now, as he plays outside like I said and is not in the packs.
  9. Could have egg on my face here, but I believe that Ablett now plays outside and calls for easy ball off his team mates, rather than getting it himself. He doesn't have explosive pace and is not a long kick and has been injured a lot in the last couple of years. While I fear the pure class of Danger and the tenacity of Selwood, I don't fear Ablett. I think he is now a player that wants to get stats and plays more for Gary than team. He is underdone and if he plays so be it.
  10. Oscar went off with a minor back injury.
  11. Looks like the word has come from The Age's Michael Gleeson; " Patrick Dangerfield has injured his hamstring in Geelong's final pre-season hit out before the AFL season.
  12. I will gladly take Danger out against us.
  13. No, done for the day. Stanley also has a calf injury.
  14. Rooms actually at ground level and plenty of us saw that watching Fox Footy. As I said did you actually get the word or are you just assuming the injury is a hammy? I am not knocking you, just trying to verify source of info and accuracy.
  15. Who gave you the word? Fox Footy guys at the ground couldn't get any word a couple of minutes ago.
  16. I thought it looked like an achilles tweak. Seemed to roll forward with his foot planted and then quickly tried to correct. Walking around in the rooms, we shall see what happens.
  17. Think they would prefer that bloke up North in the yellow and red jumper.
  18. A couple of points, my knock on Tyson is his disposal. If he gets that right he is a good player. I don't think there is Vince hate on here, rather it is Vince disappointment with a couple of his brain fade suspensions and some bad turnovers. Hannan is 189cms and can take pack marks and is not a small forward.
  19. Happy for Jack and note it was a practice game. Interesting comment by Dermie when Jack was softly bumped away from a contest after he had 5 goals up. Dermie said " he has played a nice game today, but he should not have been bumped off the ball/line so easily, that is one of the reasons he is still not with the Dees". PS. Worked out why we couldn't get pick 24 off the Cats for Jack, Tim Kelly. Also we got Fritsch for the Port pick we got for Jack. So everyone is happy.
  20. You will have to learn to ignore that Drunkn, as she is just one of many ignorant or intoxicated people at the footy, who haven't a clue.
  21. Shoulder ribs. Seriously, hope he is ok soon and has a good year.
  22. Gee, some on here think he always fibs about injuries.
  23. Who are the ones you say are in the "heap" that were mismanaged?
  24. As I understand it Viney had one injury which healed and it is another injury that has caused problems over the summer. While you don't need a medical degree to see the risks in bringing a player back too early from a foot injury, a medical degree might be helpful to assess what the injury is and when he is ready to resume. Just because a player gets injured on return to playing, doesn't mean he wasn't right to play.
