Trade Targets
One of the reasons I wanted to keep Hunt, who was played out of position there, getting few possies, but as you acknowledge in a difficult position on the field, but scoring when he got the chance.

The No T$ No B$ Thread
As part of my new awakened mindset, I am on a health kick and am about to get an Açai bowl at the coffee shop nearby. The question I pose is “ will it contain any banana “. It will probably be only a short time until Majak and I will appear like identical twins, with our rippling torsos bursting through our workout singlets. The only difference to the naked eye will be my slightly paler skin tone. Back to the footy though and I guess the construction sector is in full fly, with all the houses being trained down at footy clubs and needing to be rebuilt.

I wonder if the AFL have put Jeff up to this to force North’s hand.

Well I will be happy for you to put up those stats as I don’t have them. I would suggest though off the top of my head, that he missed most of his chances at senior games through injury, rather than poor form. Here is a fact, players who can’t get on the park continually, have short AFL careers.

2021 Injury List
Actually you have narrowed it to 17, even better.

Of course, if he had half the ability of the Wiz he would be a certainty, but that is exactly the point, does he have the potential to play AFL. Us, Freo and every other club passed on him in the draft. That is a starting point, as not one club thought he was worth even a rookie spot. Yes he might develop and become an AFL player and that would be great. My point is that if he is no good, I don't care if his name is Barassi, you don't waste list spots where you can help it. Plenty of sons of former AFL players don't make it in the AFL. You don't get on a list because of your name, it might help, but you need the ability and attitude.

The table was chopped up for firewood.

Realistically we have to assume he is a fair way off AFL standard, even with development, as evidenced by 2 clubs passing on him as a father/son, or even rookie. We have given him a chance to show he has the ability and work ethic, but as good as having a son of the Wiz on our list would be for the fans, it is a waste of a spot, if he simply isn’t good enough and but for his name would be nowhere near an AFL club list. That would cost us a potential player who we could have taken instead. There are plenty of father/sons out there who are simply not good enough, or have other passions, so clearly the pedigree alone can’t determine spots on our list. Here’s hoping though for Kobe!

TMac on the Trade Table?
Is it? If the FD tell a player to bulk up, can you imagine a non star player refusing?

IMO, you can remove Tom and Tomlinson from that list and probably Harmes as well.

TMac on the Trade Table?
He would cope with the chop out in the ruck role, but to me he is no wingman, certainly not in the traditional sense. If he is to play a very high half forward role, as a marking player, who has good endurance, that is different. He is certainly no fast outside mid. All that said, I have a feeling that if he can stay injury free, he can get back to his best form. He is certainly looking in better shape than last year already. The fact that there was not much interest in him and that he now has a family, will be a big spur to him.
