I also enjoy winning. Are you saying that a player making space on the opposite wing or corridor, should be ignored on the kick out, in order to go the usual kick to the left and to a pack? I would love to know the stat of how often we have control of the ball, 70-80 metres out, on our kick outs. I personally think it is madness to not try and create quick ball movement, when it is available. It gives a better chance of scoring, with less defenders able to flood back. I think the current kick it to the pack on the left no matter what, is hurting us badly.

Not helpful that Tigers play Dockers at G in 2 weeks and have lost both rucks and Lynch. We need a top 2 finish to guarantee home final, unless all Vic teams in top 4. Of course we still need to make the top 4.
  3. What about Gus into the middle and Rivers/Hunt to cover the back flank. Then throw Toby and Lizzie into the middle for a change up, to add pace from the stoppage. TIO stadium games often have players using space to run and bounce. I think pace is important at this ground. Not saying Dunstan doesn’t come in, only that he turns it over too often.
  4. Unfortunately true. That is why Saints wouldn't play him, according to my Saints' mate.
  5. That won't happen with the current one style kick out to a pack.
  6. Interesting they manage the coach and assistant coach.
  7. Are you referring to me?
  8. You want Fritsch dropped because he didn’t handball to Petracca in an earlier game and didn’t pass to Langdon this week, who he may not have seen. Well we disagree on that. We agree on JVR, who I think would not be out of place in the AFL, but maybe not this week in the Alice.
  9. Drop our best marking forward and goal kicker because he missed a pass. Wow that would send a great message to his team mates and also rob us of one of our few forward weapons.
  10. People thinking Fritsch will be dropped this week are deluded.

Joke meter turned off R & B? I was joking.

But if May kicks out to the left and it returns quickly, he is back there ready to do it again.
  13. Cox is Freo CHB and I actually haven't given up on Jacko either.

Would they drop Toby for a NT game, when he actually did more than Kozzie/Spargo? I would rest Spargo for a week.

He can hitch with the other hand you know.
  16. Maybe Dusty Springfields' "Wishin and Hopin" is more apt.
  17. Lucy, if he wants Freo, they don't have the picks and no point naming blokes that just aren't in the picture. What do you think of my suggestion of Cox and Treacy, as the start of any deal. Cox is a 23 year old, 195cm SA key position defender/forward and Treacy a 19 year old 195cm Victorian key forward who is listed as tough, strong and with great hands. They have a local in Amiss coming through who with the current key forwards are enough for them. Then steak knives of picks, or a ruckman, or maybe even getting Lobb, who would fill needs for us immediately. Getting Cox and with Turner, it allows Petty to maybe move forward or other options and Cox would be there when May retires. What are your thoughts on that sort of deal, if Jacko nominates Freo?
  18. Slight difference. I think Gus has indicated, though rather obliquely, that he is staying and no mention of homesickness. Also there was a hint that he might announce on his Podcast soon.
  19. I think he would be fine if picked.
  20. I didn’t know they had the same manager. I don’t think Gus would leave for a few dollars more. That would not be his motivation, nor the advice from his father. If Gus leaves and I don’t think he will, I would suspect a different reason.
  21. If he is staying, but contract not finalised, he could easily say that. I find it unlikely that he doesn’t know what he wants to do by now. The usual result when you are hearing nothing at all by now, is that they have decided to leave, but don’t want to say, to avoid the fuss that will be caused, during the rest of the season. If he has decided to stay, I think he would have said it by now to stop the speculation. If you follow that logic, he is probably gone. BUT, then again.

So what do you think of Selwood?
  23. Actually thought that was pretty disgusting and then Guthrie gave a belt to the back of the head, after he finished scratching the face. Surely that is reportable.

No it didn't. Just because you win a game doesn't mean everything you do in it is correct, or the best method.
  25. I can't stand this and it makes me question our coaching.
