The Pick 1 Thread
I think North will get 1 but it will take getting 6 off us for 3. 2,6 and more will give WC a guaranteed Curtin and another high pick plus more. WC wonโt reject that. However we must keep 11 to get another good player. 6 and F1 is plenty for 3 and should get that deal done, which will see North pass it on and be part of deal for 1. We should keep 1 and ask for one of North late first rounders back and bundle it with 11 to get a bit higher.

If true we are out contention for Reid. Take 2 good players and be done with it.

He will be a much better key forward when he doesn't have to help out in the ruck. IMO it is affecting his game as a key forward.

Training Ground?
A low rise grandstand would be fine for some AFLW games and given the new huge Video screen now at Caulfield, it would hide a small grandstand from view behind it.

I think they cut the bit where he said his golf game was extraordinary.

Farewell Kye Turner
Probably gone as a result of us holding 6 and 11 and being concerned about using them, if we haven't traded up. I would imagine Melk now will be delisted and rookied, giving us another draft selection. PS: Sorry, forgot to wish Kye well in the future.

The bloke you would like to replace him from the Crows if he leaves is Thilthorpe, but unfortunately he is a SA player. This could all be about driving up his value and then extending with us on renegotiated terms. Would be a great boost for us if Jefferson had a massive pre season and becomes another best 23 key forward for us.

The Pick 3 Thread
North now have a lot of list spots to fill and about 5-6 picks under 18, with 2 and 3 included. As a strategy I agree, instead of losing most of them for one player, they could set themselves up long term by using them. If they get Reid, are they going to fill 6 or more list spots with players drafted beyond say pick 23. It makes no sense, It makes more sense to use a high pick and split the other, getting say 6 and 11 from us and giving them even more high end talent. We are in a slightly different situation, with a good list, that only needs cherry picked talent, here and there. Whether we are chasing 1 or 3, or keep 6 & 11, is up to our list managers. If we want Duursma, 3 is fine if North get 1, but if they donโt, he is not guaranteed at 3. So I would think if 3 is the target, it only happens in a 3 way deal with North and WC. Not knowing the real potential of the draftees, my opinion is an uninformed one, but from the outside, purely based on depth of talent, I would prefer keeping 6 & 11 and trying to maybe upgrade 11 a little, unless of course, JT thinks Duursma or someone else will be a champion,

But the intel seems to suggest we want to trade up. From the little I know of the draftees, I would be happy with Curtin if we kept 6.

That's what I was saying, in answer to a post saying we needed mids.

The Pick 1 Thread
Interestingly, someone posted that we haven't spoken to Reid. I can think of 3 reasons why. First, if we got pick 1 we would take him regardless. Second, we don't think we will get pick 1. Third, we actually prefer someone else and that may allow us to have another pretty good pick as well.
