  1. that's why i said take some risks..........
  2. Too emotive? Have I travelled into territory that harbours the blackest desires of all our hearts? Will this thread be allowed to run? This guy, as a player, single handedly coached every young player in that Collingwood team to the extent that they almost pinched a premiership. Think of the aura, the presence, the promotion this bloke would deliver. With picks 1 and 2 pending, I think it deserves some thought. Are we ready to take some risks????
  3. what's your contention? your oral can't just be on the MFC. you need to argue persuasively about a point of view. it might be, 'should the mfc spend more on their football dept?' or am i wrong? is it a VCE oral?
  4. drdrake, your optimism is overriding the reality atm. we are getting better, but the game plan will take a couple of years yet, and our players make costly errors by hand and foot. we get murdered on the turn overs. frankly, i can't see us winning any more games, but that's okay because there's finally some direction with the club.
  5. Mr Butcher, esquire, will bloody well go to the club that selects him. Big-headed so and so!
  6. 100% agree - hate him, hate the bombers. ffs, he's doing that dream team rubbish! go away and retire. [censored].
  7. I'd love to see him as a permanent full forward, now that Davey has developed as a midfielder. i concur with all these comments - he's been terrific for three or four years now.......... jumbo
  8. i LOVE this question - please, please, please, less than 4!
  9. what about that mongrel johnson from the filth, who ran into belly? a***hole!
  10. What an amazing, intelligent post - i concur with all your sentiments 100%. players need to play smart and be coached accordingly. look up, zone, and if you're not quite in the contest, grab the jumper and win a free kick. that sickening collision was terrible and avoidable - i don't think that rance was in a 50/50 contest and he barrelled in with his head down. the look of almost shock and surprise on selwood's face was nightmarish. to all the footballers out there, look up, play smart and you'll survive for another contest. deez days, great post.
  11. maybe you and I, hand in hand......ah, the romance.
  12. What about Watts? Most of the other clubs have given their high draft picks a go..............
  13. you reckon he was that bad? i think he's a confidence/touch player, needs to get a touch early. he is very coachable, so there's still hope.
  14. Where do you play him? Great hands, booming kick - i thought he was better out of goal today, but he is wary of Miller, who likes to play 70 - 80 metres out. I thought he had a shocker today, maybe he needs a spell at Casey?
  15. is it ma-RICK? or ma-RICH? watching the replay on fox and bruce and dennis can't decide...anyone know?
  16. he is lightning quick, but built like a bean pole. he told me he's put on some muscle, but he needs much more. having said that, he has great evasive skills.
  17. no point in ignoring it - it's a fact. the severity of the break is yet to be ascertained, but it did happen. shocking thing, cos he's a great kid........
  18. unfortunately, true - can't cite my sources because it might incriminate others, but the boy has a fractured ankle after a schoolyard mishap. i'm sorry to bring forth the bad news, but i'm 100% correct. jumbo
  19. All the best to you and your family, Clint. My sincerest condolences to you and your family. You have a tough time ahead to manage your life and work with all the grief you'll be experiencing, but remember all the good times you had with your Dad
  20. 200% guaranteed - Bennell looks exciting and he'll only get better. Interesting stat that Bruce Mac gave during the Blues, Dogs clash - Gibbs has played 48 out of a possible 49 games, Murphy all 49 and Kruezer 29 out of 29. That's why Bennell MUST play all 22 to fast track him.
  21. with the development of stef martin, what becomes of paul wheatley when he's ready to resume? i think there's still room for him but who drops out to make way for him? will there be room for him when col garland is ready to come back?
  22. gladly - i suggest you msg high tower and tell him to stop sniping posters. this forum is for opinions, i gave one, he couldn't discuss my comments objectively and had a personal dig. unless, of course, he's a mate and he's protected by the moderators on this site. that wouldn't surprise me. and chooka, none of my comments were directed at you or your friends.
  23. listen, you started all this - now stop threatening and grow up.
  24. i'm a real work of art? all you do is make snide remarks, i respond accordingly, and you can't hack it. using your undiagnosed aspy syndrome as a cloak, you mention one game (trying to be clever) but you never 'got' the bigger picture. btw, you started the personal attacks by suggesting that i should read 'hands' for a living - go away.
