Footy Classified… god why do I bother with getting sucked into the shows. Wilson for all her “faults” the only one to say Greene needs to be out for some time. Cornes was just arguing that she wasn’t vocal about Neale needing to be suspended for weeks. Lloyd just blankly staring into his own brain and Hutchy thinking about cake.

I think it’s more to do with speed of ball movement, if we slow teams down and get “the structure” in place it’s very hard to get past. We’ve seen the Lions at times, the Dogs and Pies do it very well against us. If we can keep a team to a few goals in the patches when they get a role we will still win it (from what we’ve seen this year).

Delidio was on radio on Sunday saying how he was going to text Greene and say “I’ll line up a day at the Ayres Inlet pub if you keep your cool this weekend, I wish I had of”..

And why are none of there colleagues calling them out on it?

He can play but he’s a thug, he’s got history of lashing out against authority figures when things don’t go his way. He’s trying to stand over and intimidate the ump in this instance, a $2500 fine and no conviction won’t surface this time.

I missed the Dogs game but reading the comments re Weightman and watching the mini match I’ve got no idea what people are on about. The first 4 frees were not Lindsay Thomas ducks and dives, the umps made the calls, whether right or wrong it was not Cody doing anything “wrong”. Weightman is a very good little player. He and Kozzi are two exciting prospects from the same draft, enjoy watching them.

The Grub of The Year Award the last 6 years has been Toby Greene and this bloke second, daylight the rest of the field.

Where do you begin, what a team. Oli in the first half was the best in the game, Tracc on par in the second half. Once we were able to slow down the Lions ball movement, the structure/defence just leaning back on the ropes before punching out of the clinch is a site to behold. A little nervy this week with such a young group but settled into it. Long gone are the days you just knew we’d be rolled over after a good half of footy, we’d run out of gas, couldn’t finish etc etc. A sad pleasure of the night was my amazing wife sitting next to me deeply engrossed in the game for the second half. She’s not much of a footy/sports fan (was a Bombers fan growing up) but last night she was as engaged as I was and jumping up and down and clapping through the last qrt. It was a pleasure to have someone to enjoy it with, sad for not being able to share with a group of Dees mates and other family. Cant wait to watch the replay with my 5yr this morning. Go Dees!!!

The crowd looks barely 5k, the fact we've had to move the game from our home game for this.... just another bloody putrid call by this tin pot business that is the AFL.
