    Top 15 disposals winners at half time. Brisbane has 13 players in it Melb 2. Terlich and Sylvia... Our midfield is putrid... But can still win haha.

    Our skills, fitness, ability to close down space and mental application are just so second rate. How we are only 6 points down is beyond me. We look absolutely knackered and just can't break tackles or hit targets. Work so hard to bring it out of defence and then a costly turn over happens.

    Would have preffered him to start, we need a good start and he is one of our leading goal kickers this season.

    Only been used once, person was unconscious... Not saying its fair or right but that seems to be the facts.

    Unfortunately it is to the letter of the law otherwise you have the likes of Ben Johnson saying he had a dodgy steak.. The anti drug authorities basically say you as te athlete need to be aware of what you are putting in your body whether injection, cream, ingesting... The only time it has been argued that the athlete was not responsible was someone who was in surgery and had been injected. In this case who knows it may be a new precedent... For Trenners but here is hoping the Dons still get done...

    The athletes/players have an ownership to know what they use/ingest. The I didn't know what it was excuse doesn't work.

    True but I don't think to that much detail especially in Schwab hand written notes or is McLaughlin a good upside down reader... And the details the media has know about internal conversations re tanking suggest internal leaks. Also why would the AFL only leak Melb related info and not Essendon??

    Hopefully the relationship is on the improve and Casey are on the improve financially. Maybe the name can change when it gets to finals time and we make available more than 3 listed MFC players to the club rather than everyone go out for "surgery".

    RR reading the "puzzles" piece in the age today I am just gob smacked a journo knows of detailed hand written notes Schwab took during a meeting with the AFL?! How can this info have found its way into the public domain from our club yet again?! It has to stop! The Dons have not leaked at all, Danks has been spreading anything relating to there case but not us at Dees HQ.... Details come pouring out, who is it/are they, why can't the Board find them and stop them talking to the press?!

    Really disappointed we are wrapped up in this and even more so for Trenners. As an individual you have the utmost faith in the physio's, sports scientists and doctors around you but the responsibility falls to the individual athletes on what they "use". Atheletes have such a slippery slope to walk getting the best out of themselves, making sure each and every time they compete they are going to be at there peak but how can you maintain that over a 20+ round AFL season without "supplements". I hope Trenners and the club are cleared of any wrong doing. Unfortunately as it appears it is one of the same drugs tied up with the Essendon players that will much reduce my enjoyment of them getting reamed.....

    Before last week were no 2 in the comp for fwd 50 entries converting to goals. We may be no 1 after that last quarter now.

    I think the Mods might need to clear the decks on HG and his last few efforts on here and if he was being honest with his comments around what he knew from his "player brother". If those comments lead people to believe Neeld was one way or another with the players when it was not factual....

    The big man brings so much to the team with the above noted. With a fit Clark and Dawes in the line-up..... and a midfield with some confidence... could be very damaging as the year progresses, or am I just dreaming. Davey has 5 goals this year and has looked good in patches in the crumbing role, question seems to be do they start him and look to sub him later or he is the sub and comes on later. Doubt very much he will run out a full game from here on out by the looks of this season, and as long as he keeps ave close to that 2 goals a game it looks like it works. Rodan hasn't had a shot on goal yet and Blease needs a few games to get back up to speed after injury.

    A statistical anomaly then? Our leading goal kickers: Mitch Clark 7, Howe 7, Byrnes 5, Davey 5, Evans 4, Sylvia, Trengrove, and Pederson 3, Jones and Gawn 2 each. Mitch is also a big loss as he has floated back a number of times as loose man in defence to stem the tide when needed (often this year ). In saying all of that gee wizz the Lions team on paper looks really thin for class

    And our ability to score goals is the other little problem. Clark out, no sign of Dawes, Maxi is in his 2nd game as a fwd/ruckman, the cupboard looks a little bare trying to bomb goals from 50+ out.

    Depends what time of the night you get there DW. All journo's rate her and her last 12 months as the best journalism they have seen in the AFL journo industry. (I hope that makes sense...) I remember the other [censored] Hutchy and a couple of others who's names escape me mentioned during the MFC tanking fiasco that she was having the best 6 months as a journo ever and she is doing the best work they have seen etc. It boggles the mind as while granted some of the facts are true she seems liberal with most others and is very agro in her articles calling for heads to roll left, right and centre. She should be in Game of Thrones!
