Every game that goes into any MFC player at this point should be a bloody blessing and a privilege. Any chance they can work under match pressure and look to improve the deplorable skill level and output should be taken.

He was a JJJ presenter for a number of years and while I thought it an odd move for him into sports I have always thought he had well thought out discussion points and arguments over the years he has been covering sports. Just because we don't like the answer doesn't mean it is wrong. In saying that if that is verbatim what he said then it is not to his usual response level and a bit silly.

I feel very little, a tiny sense of optimism, but the optimism has been slowly erroded over the last 5 years.

What is the point of extra salary cap when we couldn't afford to spend the extra $$$$$. I want any extra $$$ to go into recruiting, player psychology to help them break the mental demons they all seem to have and into player development.

Sorry Iva toe fingers and typing don't mix. I thought changes were a foot this week in the footy dept but nothin seems to have happened is what I meant to say.

I still hate Vandenburg and Hawks for his/their weak, thug actions in the "line in the sand" game and that was against a team I also don't like. Unfortunately I don't think much will change for us this weekend, even if we wanted to play unsocial footy we wouldn't get near them as we are to slow and their foot skills destroy us. It will all be frees and 50's for them. God I'm just thinking of how many Buddy will kick on the weekend, he has not had a huge game yet this year has he... I'll be there with a bunch of Hawks mates hating it but showing some f ing support I guess.

I've contacted all my Hawks mates to come along Sunday... They won't have to worry about me yelling out this year.

Thanks Iv'a. I'm not sure how that perception is going to change in the short term with our on field efforts as they are. The only way I can see that percetion changing (whether the perception is heald by the AFL, other fans or even potential sponsors) is by us being a winning or "competitive" side at least. Watching us a present we do not look like turning that corner soon and unless the AFL introduces a mid-year draft for us and us alone we are in for a long year and terrible balance sheet for who knows how long. So where does that leave us Iv'a, a deep in the water club going to fold or being shipped off to Tassie? Also do you know (and I assume even if you knew could not answer) if we are chasing a CEO at present ie someone like Gauci? Or are we waiting for Jackson 6 month to end? I would be really worried if we were not in the market place for someone like Gauci if they are available now.

Keenly following your posts now Iv'a..... for content and trying to read between the lines. Going to be interesting to see what the week holds. It is a worry the AFL has told us we have "run out of time", what does that mean? We must improve on field/off field now or what?

We all would La but the coaching staff have been really pushing up with a few of the in's, maudlin has been on a real upward curve over the season since round one and unfortunately the 5 outs have been on the downward curve since round 1.
