No he wouldn’t have, he would have moved up the ground into the midfield or wings and probably down back to help stem the flow. As he did numerous times this season. The only drums beating I think are in people’s heads. I just can’t see it happening but who the hell knows. If it does I think it would be a big loss (depending on the return) and think he is a valuable asset to keep long term.

You’re right up there with him for a mountain of negativity in the face of what has turned out to be a positive and enjoyable season. Take a step back from the ledge and enjoyn the view... before the season we hadn’t done anything for 12 years, by the end of it we’re a genuine flag chance. As I said above if the players want to take that next step. I’m not even thinking about yesterday, I cant wait for next season.

We handled the pressure the previous 4 weeks. Tigs didn’t handle it for 1 game, Geelong didn’t etc. we fluffed our lines badly but if the players want to get better then this is not the end of the world. Young team that has the potential to grow and become a premiership team. Holes to fill, of course, every team has holes to fill. Cant wait for round 1.

People used to complain if you didn’t make top 4 you were just making up the numbers, people now complain the bottom 4 can win the GF each year, odd. I think it is great, top 4 teams who win through need to find a formula that works to try and keep them “finals ready” with so little footy. God I hope we win today. Balme is one of the best in the business but his week long indignation session looks very silly now. Pies... I think we all had a chuckle at them after the first 3 or 4 rnds and the re-signing of Nafan, haven’t they made the most of the season. Played some brilliant footy last night. God they are annoying though.

One thing I don’t think our coaches are doing at this point if the season is panicking... we’re on fire. They are making what they believe is a thought out, reasoned approach. “We don’t think x is playing well, we’ve told him he needs to do this, this and this over the last few weeks, he missed the KPIs on the weekend. Yea but he could be a match winner.. we think he needs to go back and have a go at it in the 2s. Smith has played they way we want, let’s bring him in.” Sure some to and froing but no second guessing and no panic merchants, like us on here..

Frost not playing for so long might be the other one.
