He’s a “head up” type footballer, head up looking for an option. Has played some quality footy for a first year player. Can’t wait to see how he goes building consistency over a season. Great to have him on board!

You literally have no idea about the internal workings at North. I’m totally biased (deal with them at a sponsorship level) and have only had glimpses but they seem to be well run. Free agency doesn’t help small or non performing clubs. We’ve been in that boat for how many years, Gawny said it tonight “not a destination club”. One of the main reasons spouted for FA was the middling players can get to other clubs to get games... that’s been a hoax, it’s all about good to excellent players moving to wining teams/big clubs. Shiel is a turnover merchant and can’t kick straight at goal.

I just don’t get the argument that he is tradable. He is our number 1 fwd/mid, his skills up the ground and his running capacity is at such a high level. TMac number 2. As always he has a few things to keep working on but I can’t see a trade giving us the same value as Hogs brings us. We need to find a way to fit all 3 of Hogs, TMac and Weid in the team.

A few backed him in early doors, @Henrietta Lumbago coped a bit of abuse but he was spot on, even including a swap Watts for Milky but that got a few rises. A few might want to put the I’m sorry mat out to him...

Hahha some brilliant hand up moments in here. He has surpassed all expectations, I think (no desire or real idea how to search my posts) I wanted to give him a chance and he should be an upgrade. He has gone to another level, skills are so good hitting targets ahead of him.

I’ve got more confidence of Gaff being a Demon next year than the Dees of playing finals this year. (And I have zero inside info on either scenario, well besides being let down by the club for the last 12 years).

I think MLB is the only other one of that list where the grounds are different measurements.

I don’t get it, if they don’t come to us, I’d much rather big name free agents go to clubs like ours who have been down for some time in North, Saints and Gold Coast. How sh it is it seeing them go to Geelong, Hawks, Swans or especially the drug cheats.

4 games, 10 marks.. 4 games, 3 goals, ave 3 tackles a game and ave 3 hit outs.. I always feel players need more than 1 game in a row to get the pace of senior footy but Peds is not getting it done at senior level.

I’ve really wanted Peds to make it at senior level... he won’t. He may stay on the list another year as a mature back up but he will only ever play if injuries run deep. Unfortunately He has shown nothing at senior level at all this year, he’s the fittest he has ever been and not been able to make an impact.

Weid at the very least is equal to Peds if not ahead of him at senior level. Peds seems to do well in the 2s, Weids does ok with a few outstanding returns. Peds is not much chop at senior level, and probably on par with Weid at senior level. The difference with Weid at senior level is he has time on his hands, he is young and does some nice little things but these need to grow.

Yea seems odd, he has been given a few goes at it for a stretch of games, had a couple of injuries that have dropped him out of the side too. He has shown little glimpses that I think make he look like an exciting prospect. He needs to show more of it from here on out, maybe focus on that rather than looking for a trade kid, not like there are huge road blocks and numbers of big fwds in front of him..

I'd expect they will pick him above Peds for the last 2 games and finals if we make it (ggaaahhh I hope we do). Get some more games into him, high stakes games. He has shown a little bit for mine, but he really needs to start coming on if given the chance now and coming into next season. Peds has shown he just doesn't cut it at senior level, Weids its time to shine sailor.
