Kudos to JT and his team for sure but it would be interesting to stack it up against all clubs as a comparison, in isolation it can be difficult to judge. Judging against the previous fella, well JT could have played pin the tail on the draftee and had a better outcome. He and his team, have definitely improved our list (plenty of early draft picks does help) but they have whiffed on a couple as well, but every club does.

Doesn’t matter if we don’t have a 1st round pick (at this stage) when you can draft the likes of Spargs and Fritter.

A little off topic but we had a young AFL listed player come do a day of “work experience” in the office recently. He was at Ess at one stage of his career, he was less than glowing about Ess. Arrogant was mentioned numerous times. Money just flows into the place, so they think they are special, young players just get lost in their system, on field leaders like Godard are all they look like from afar.

This second round has been incredible so far, playoff hockey is just brilliant! Jets v Preds you just don’t know how many goals they will score. Caps v Pens is hard edged, really hope the Caps can get over the top this time around.

Morris just doesn’t have the runs on the board for mine so massive grain of salt. If you listen to the MFC podcast (actually a good listen as they do ask the hard questions) Morris mentions he was taken to task over the Freo “story”, that was one of my mates at work who really questions how Morris is going about things. PJ was on the last one (what a man!) and was really annoyed by a question about is Goody a good coach. I would not be surprised if Morris is no longer on the podcast come seasons end, or earlier even though I’m glad the club is not sanitising said podcast.
