It's an emotional topic and I don't think that everybody is being objective. The fact that it's a Demon player in the gun naturally colours our perception of the incident. Would you argue that Maynard should get off if he did the same thing or would you be calling for his head? That's all I'm saying. It's just a hypothetical.

For those arguing that Pickett should not be suspended, here's a hypothetical. Would you take the same view if all circumstances were identical but Maynard was the player making contact and Kozzy was subbed out with concussion as a result? In other words, are you seeing this incident through a red and blue lens (like we all do at times)?

At this stage, over 70% of respondents to the poll think he will be suspended. I don't think it's the bump as such that's the problem. Where Kozzy will be in trouble is the late action of raising his arm and hitting Moore in the head. I'll be pleasantly surprised if he gets off.

Yeah, if he really cared about the true, faithful supporters he'd hire a flatbed truck with a big fat PA system and drive all around the MCG precinct for an hour or so while fans are arriving, followed up by a couple of laps inside the ground all the while announcing his intentions on loop every five minutes. I'm thinking something along the lines of AC/DC rolling down Swanston Street singing "It's A Long Way To The Top" and wondering if bagpipes might enhance or detract from Tracc's performance.
