I thought our small forwards were very disappointing vs Sydney. Kozzi will be back against the ‘dogs, but will (hopefully) be spending around 15% of his time around stoppages, where he adds an important point of difference. IMO we definitely need another small crumbing forward, who can contribute on the scoreboard, and apply front half pressure. - do the panel agree? - if so, who gets the gig? (have ‘Pup’ Brown or AMW earned an opportunity?) - if so, who do they replace?

6. May …….. by a whisker from ——-> 5. Viney 4. Fritsch - our only forward 3. McVee ……… by a whisker from ———> 2. Tomlinson 1. Bowey ……. very good until injured Credits to Howes and Windsor, who showed a lot more than some of their more experienced team mates.

Some old and bad habits return. Grrr! Bottom line is we were beaten at what we do best, especially in the last quarter! However, I have every confidence that we can and will improve enormously on that effort.

I found Sparg’s inclusion a bit mystifying, but this early in the season, I have 100% confidence in our MC.

Based on the Richmond match sim, I thought that Pup Brown might be a good chance. What does the panel think? ps. I was disappointed that he wasn’t given more ground time against Carlton. Could this be an indication that our Match Committee think he’s not quite ready?

Lots to like: - our leaders stood up as they usually do; - defence was well organised; - Windsor was great, Billings was solid, and our other ‘newbies’ showed glimpses with limited opportunities; - forward half delivery was much improved on ‘23; - field kicking and general ball move movement were good; - Salo and Sparrow through the middle I’m generally an insomniac, but I’ll sleep well tonight.

Kozzi mostly midfield or forward? I know he’s been injured, but from what we seen, can AMW step up?
