  1. Nice article. Great to read that they are already good mates.
  2. Good solid squad. With a number of key players unavailable through injury or not selected for other reasons, it's very pleasing to see the depth we are starting to accumulate. Bodes well for the future.
  3. Perfect reply to a silly, short-sighted post Mikey.
  4. Disappointing, but I'm sure the conservative approach which the Club is adopting is best for the longer-term futures of Watts and the other youngsters.
  5. Hey Rhino, I know it's all semantic, but I reckon you are being pretty harsh describing Frank Davis as a 'battler'. He wasn't a high profile or classy player like the others you mention, but he was reliability personified. He played 150+ games for the Dees, was captain for three years, represented Victoria and won a Bluey. I know most this was in an era when we really struggled for success (aside from the '64 Flag which was in Frank's first year), but if only we had had a few more 'battlers' with his credentials in the ensuing 40 odd years.
  6. I love the new design. Lots of information, easy to understand, simple to navigate. Being from interstate, I especially appreciate the news links.
  7. Outstanding initiative and fantastic design Jaded. My order is on the way.
  8. I'm sure there was an article on the MFC site about a month ago which indicated that Jack had been ill before Christmas, but he was now back on the track and a possibility for Round 1. Also, there were reports on here of him doing some ruck-work at training on 8 Feb., and I can't imagine that this would be the case if he had a long-term injury.
  9. Hey Keyser, there's nothing wrong with optimism at this time of year! We are trying to build our membership base, and a large large % of prospective first time members are genuinely optimistic for the first time in the best part of a decade. Don't be such a 'party pooper'!! (tongue slightly in cheek).
  10. Demonland is an absolute credit to Andy and his team.
  11. Inspirational stuff. Everyone clearly 'on the same page', and confident that we are on the right track to deliver.
  12. Coming down from Canberra ........ can't wait to see the young Dees and Casey Fields! Would be good to meet fellow Demonlanders. I'm an 'oldfart' with a beard and will be wearing plenty of Demon gear.
  13. We havn't seen much of Addam, but I have to say that in his limited game time, I have seen a few snippets which really excite me, particularly his decision making and poise under pressure. Based on what I've seen and heard, he needs to develop a bigger motor and a stronger body, as well as a stronger defensive side to his game, and of course consistency. However, as others have pointed out, he is still very young, and I expect that these aspects would have been high priorities for the current pre-season. I am confident that he will deliver on the potental he showed as a junior, and if he can remain fit, I'd be surprised if he doesn't establish himself as a 'regular' as the season progresses.
  14. Great work WJ, JCB and others. You can't begin to know how much these reports are appreciated by us interstate members / supporters. For me it was a toss-up between travelling down from Canberra for last night's event or making the trip for the intra-club hit out at Casey on 13 Feb. I opted for the latter, and the time can't pass quickly enough, especially after reading the feedback on these pages.
  15. Thanks for letting us know, and for all your hard yakka Andy. Greatly appteciated by everyone, I'm sure.
  16. I'd definately contact the Club. A mate of mine is still waiting, and it seems that his package went astray in the pre Christmas postal strike in Melbourne.
  17. has not set their status

  18. We can add Davey's 'soft tissue'(hamstring?)injury to the list.
  19. Looks fantastic. Thanks for all the hard work Andy!
  20. Thanks a million for the reports and photos guys. Especially appreciated by us country and interstate supporters who can't get to training, and rely totally on you guys for a much needed 'Demon fix' at this time of year. Keep up the good work!!
  21. You guys provide an outstanding service, especially appreciated by us footy-starved interstate supporters of the Mighty Demons. Keep up the good work ..... I would feel bereft without Demonland. Have just contributed a small amount towards your costs, and will dig much deeper should the need ever arise.
  22. When the discussion sinks to this level of intelligence, it's about time I opted out!
  23. Umm ..... maybe because he ranks highly against all or most of the criteria that the FD and his team mates use to determine who will be in the group.
  24. Most players in all clubs lose form and get dropped from time to time over their careers, and by your reckoning it seems that that's they are all 'bloody useless'. Come on Stinga!!!
  25. Great reply Redleg. Most teams have a good percentage of very serviceable footballers, and Brad Miller is just that for the MFC. He is a member of our leadership group, and there is obviously good reason for this ...... a fact that is all too conveniently overlooked by the 'Miller bashers' around here.
