  1. That comment might have been poorly worded by myself... What I meant was there is always two ways to look at evidence and sometimes people come to different conclusions, hey, that's what lawyers get paid to do but plenty of decisions in the court of appeals, high court etc can be decided 2-1 or 4-3 so some of our best legal minds have different opinions on the same facts I can't see how ASADA couldn't go for 38 players with the consent forms but they know that will be a super hard fight with everything thrown at them. They might choose to pick the lowest hanging fruit so to speak rather than try chopping down the whole tree and the people that make these decisions aren't so much the investigators rather higher up the chain and it cn involve multiple influences
  2. Yes WJ I means lees http://m.heraldsun.com.au/leader/south-east/drug-ban-served-wade-lees-plots-vfl-return-with-frankston-dolphins/story-fngnvoeu-1226764481916 It's a bit confusing as it says in the article suspension for importing a banned substanced and in the article in states he was charged for attempted use doping violation which I believe is the actual charge and the other is a journalist wording but Iaybe wrong It's interesting to note that the investigation took 8 months before he was charged and the whole process two years and that's one person one substance
  3. I have no doubt this will happen. For those thinking the time it has taken shows nothing has happened IMO are in for a shock. if you issue an infraction notice you need to be able to prove your case. The level of this investigation would take years especially as it involves so many people/offenders. Due to the high profile it would be cross checked by ten people before the other side gets a chance to rip it apart.
  4. Although I agree I not discussing other clubs more essendon, a form with your signature stating illegal substances to be injected and those substances purchased by your club would IMO show intent to use even if the actual injection time dates arent on a register(it that's available that's further proof) but that's no more proof than Lee had. I wonder if ASADA will only charge the 8 that admitted TB4 rather than the 38 that have consented to have it and use the line there was not enough evidence line
  5. Bedraggled, I was referring to Lee,who I believe the cases are closer linked as no positive tests were recorded. Lee purchased an illegal substance and would of admitted in an interview he planned to use it = 18 month ban
  6. Intent is actually easy with the consent form listing the drugs they planned to take and the fact there was regular injections means its difficult to avoid. Only 8 have admitted to TB4 but the signing of the forms should see a few go with only those who said no to injections (zararkis?) avoiding infractions If the ordering of a supplement containing a banned substance shows intent surely signing a form with drugs that are banned does as well. I believe the fact that ASADA is a government organisation and will be under pressure from all angles including the AFL who has been involved the whole time, they won't give infractions to a whole club ie 38 players like they should but maybe 10 (5 players 5 support staff) which still demonstrates they completed the job etc etc but does cripple essendon
  7. I think a lot of people forgot the reason AOD is illegal for use etc confusion came was because the ACC report stated that advice from ASADA was that AOD wasn't on the banned list. It was later clarified by ASADA that no it wasn't on the banned list ie AOD is not named on S2 like steriods but it is still banned under s0 and has been since 2011. Dank/Essendon tried to jump on the same line saying ASADA had told them the same thing as the ACC and that it wasn't banned.
  8. The AFL charge sheet or summary of charges is written off evidence and statements taken, not disinformation like some would like you to believe although they didn't test it in court wouldn't mean they don't have the evidence too.
  9. The Thymosin referred to on the Patient Information/Informed Consent forms and administered to the players was: (a) Thymosin Beta- 4 which is prohibited by the AFL Anti-Doping Code and the World Anti- Doping Code (the relevant facts in relation to this allegation are set out in Annexure A to this Notice of Charge); alternatively (b) a substance in respect of which the Club had failed to reasonably satisfy itself was not prohibited by the AFL Anti-Doping Code and the World Anti-Doping Code. and this On 2 August 2011 Dank forwarded a text message to Robinson stating: Hi mate. Just in consult for a shoulder reconstruction. This case will be of interest to you. We are utilizing Thymosin post surgically for one shoulder but prophylactically for the other. Thymosin is so effective in soft tissue maintenance Dank was referring to Thymosin Beta-4 and not Thymosin Alpha as the functions of Thymosin Beta-4, but not Thymosin Alpha or Thymomodulin, include tissue regeneration and recovery functions. http://www.afl.com.au/staticfile/AFL%20Tenant/AFL/Files/EssendonFC-notice-of-charges.pdf Para. 68 has the consent form wording and para 72 refers to tb4 Although I feel sorry for the players as well if any of them had of rang ASADA about AOD or TB4 instead of relying on club docs, hird dank etc they would of been told it was banned
  10. Para 68 Following that meeting, 38 players at the Club signed Patient Information/Informed Consent forms in relation to these four substances. In relation to these substances, those 38 players agreed to: (a) one AOD-9604 injection per week for the season; (b) one Thymosin injection once a week for six weeks and then one injection per month; © two Colostrum daily in each training week and two colostrum post-game. The dose may vary according to training needs; and (d) one Tribulus forte daily in each training week and one Tribulus prior to the game. The dose may vary according to training needs.
  11. Everyone comes out with an excuse! Didn't condor use the same excuse when he tested positive in the Tour de France???
  12. Although it will never be proven unless Shane carter is in massive poo somehow and needs to give information but I would be quite confident that hird used in his playing days. what exactly who knows but you don't change your thinking to PEDs and if he is happy to be injected for a tan, I have no doubt he would of taken something that was note edge...makes me wonder about wooey as well Do others think hird may have tested the boundaries in his playing career?
  13. That does change it a little to be honest as I think they should have it free to school age children but have no issue with them charging otherwise. Football is a business regardless of what people believe, a football club costs money people can watch training for free, watch football on free to air, the Internet or radio without providing a cent to the club. Is it that bad that if you want the entertainment then you can contribute to the club through a membership( there is no attendance membership for those that can't afford the full membership
  14. ^^^^* I think you are right hird keeps trying to bring up that they were tipped off by AD like its the major issue rather the them injecting PEDs The issue is the briefing AD received was from the ACC was confidential and he signed a consent that if he relieved the details he was in breach of the law ( don't know the actual offence but it has to powers the ACC has ). I have no doubt he told Evans but if that is proven he would be charged by the ACC and that's what hird wants to demonstrate because he is [censored] off with AD and wants him to go down for something
  15. Would anyone have a issue if it was a members only event and you couldn't come in unless you are a 2013 or 2014 member? If other supporters want to go to training they can go to the non member events for free or become members of the club
  16. Although it is said that it USADA was a government organisation(some reason they are independent to the government and don't answer to a minister etc) they wouldn't have got Armstrong because it would of been curtailed... Although this is too big because of admissions etc look at the way wylie can influence the result in OZ
  17. In reality no selection would have much Paul roos influence... We have 3 to 4 full time people working on this. To think a coach comes in and say oh I have been on th coach all year but I know this kid and Brighton college is just silly... Roos is a great coach and creates good cultures but to say he is responsible for everything at Sydney when they have a 20 man footy department is stupid
  18. I hope you said more than that Thomo and this was just the straw that broke the camels back. I remember thinking the same thing as you but didn't comment at the time. Although rudeboy help liam and I think he should be credited for that, he is a Collingwood coterie member who organised a interview with the collingwood president behind the MFC back and against the MFC wishes.. It didn't sit well with me at the time as rudeboy being around the AFL knew that he should never have done the interview.
  19. Always thought he would nail down a back pocket in the Matty Whealen mould... I think he could do the lock down just didn't have the offensive weapons which a must in footy these days. Good luck to him at least he played with some mongrel unlike half our list
  20. If franklin wasnt a free agent you would see daisy and Sylvia closer but sadly the [censored] would go down if Melbourne got pick three and hawthorn got pick 19
  21. I always thought this.. Daisy and Sylvia have played the same amount of games... 18 months difference in age... Contract is 700k for four years for daisy and 600k for Sylvia for 3 years. Highest in the b&f is third for daisy and fifth for Sylvia... Daisy had his AA season in 2011 but beside that in stats they are similar (19 v 16 pos per game) The last two seasons he has been injured and we know maloney's value decreased after a crap season when the one before he was fourth in the brownlow club champion and most clearances in the afl Daisy is a better player but in reality statistically they are closer than they first appear and I can't see why daisy is guaranteed 1st rd whilst Sylvia is maybe a second round
  22. Hope the afl pull a swifty and rank him band one thus giving us the priority pick just in another form... He he'll be on the same coin as Thomas at Carlton
  23. What about Tom rockliff as his name is being throw around would he suit the profile
