NAB AFL TRADE RADIO - DAILY UPDATES
• The news that Dayne Beams wishes to return to Victoria and play for Collingwood dominated today on NAB AFL Trade Radio. While he has not yet requested a trade, Beams would like to get back to the Magpies if a trade can be worked out. • Collingwood still has some waiting to do with defender Tom Langdon, who is yet to recommit to the club. Sydney and Fremantle are going hard at the 24-year-old, and that in turn is delaying Dan Hannebery’s wish to be traded to be St Kilda. Many felt that trade was set to happen today, but Saints fans should still be confident in the deal getting done. • Port Adelaide traded into the top 10 of the draft as part of their likely bid to land the best South Australian talent in the country. They handed over picks 11, 23 and 30 to Fremantle to get their hands on pick six. The Dockers will likely use these selections to help pick up Rory Lobb and potentially Jesse Hogan.

NAB AFL TRADE RADIO - DAILY UPDATES
• Six players found new homes today as the action started to heat up. • The biggest move of the day saw Adelaide’s Mitch McGovern land at Carlton, with help from Sydney. The Crows got their hands on pick 13 from the Swans as part of the deal, who in turn received picks to help them land father-son prospect Nick Blakey. • McGovern officially joins Blues in the three-team trade, and Saints agree to send Hickey to West Coast with the Eagles giving us their second-round pick. • Sydney also acquired North Melbourne midfielder Ryan Clarke as part of another three-way deal. The second aspect of the trade allowed Gary Rohan to get to Geelong. • The Roos lost Clarke, but gained Jared Polec and Jasper Pittard, exchanging pick 11 to the Power for the duo.

Where are they now? Austin Wonaeamirri
The Jake Best who I remember playing for Casey was a small forward. If he’s been picked at full back then I guess they don’t have too many key position size players up there on the Tiwi Islands?

Delisting, Trade and FA discussion 2018
Correct - you can have 3 category B rookies (but only one can be in the Irish recruit category). Problem is that Melbourne has shunned the Irish experiment that produced such greats as the late Jimmy Stynes and Sean Wight. I raised it a couple of years ago at a club function about recruiting and was told that at least at that time, there was little interest.

Phantom Drafts - 2018
Knightmare’s Phantom Drafts always make good reading and, of course, will take on more significance if Melbourne can trade into a 2018 first round pick and then keep it until the draft takes place. Chris Doerre's first round AFL Phantom Draft

Apparently, he really wants to go back to WA. I think we have some experience with that sort of player. Pass.
