What will we see on Trade TV Wednesday night?
Some crappy advertising on heavy rotation.

Recruiting a 3rd tall forward to find another 50 goals?
The club has a high opinion of Harry Petty who was tossed to the wolves when not ready in his one AFL game against St Kilda. He was recruited as a key position defender who also played forward in his junior days. With Steven May coming to the club and Jake Lever set to return, it might be worth trying Petty up forward.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
Hello. Looks like it’s been a relatively quiet night tonight. People have somewhere to go or is this the calm before the storm?

NAB AFL TRADE RADIO - DAILY UPDATES
• The penultimate day of the trade period saw five players move clubs, with Gold Coast heavily involved. • The Suns lost midfielder Aaron Hall to North Melbourne for pick 68, a pick that was then traded to Adelaide for a future fourth round selection. • Pick 68 was then immediately on-traded by the Crows to Richmond for forward Tyson Stengle. • The Suns also traded away former top 10 draft pick Jack Scrimshaw to Hawthorn for an exchange of future selections. • Gold Coast landed Geelong defender George Horlin-Smith for pick 59. • Tom $cully officially became a Hawk, traded for a future fourth round selection (considerably cheaper than his original price almost a decade ago ?)

Farewell Jesse Hogan
Holey Moley. I’ve had a long, hard day at work and came out of a meeting to check up on what was going on in the world of Jesse Hogan and realised that today is no different to yesterday, the day before and the day before that ... Today must be GRANDHOGAN DAY!!!

Dylan Shiel
But Scully for a 3rd rounder is fair.

Draftees from outside the AFL system
Carlton and Gold Coast have used their mature age entitlements with the former trading theirs and GCS keeping them. McAdam is off to Adelaide while the Suns have taken Corbett. Nathan Krueger (South Adelaide) is off to the Cats. Chris Burgess (West Adelaide) and Sam Collins (Werribee) also join Gold Coast. There are still others around worth consideration.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - KADE KOLODJASHNIJ
“Gold Coast and Melbourne should finalise a deal on Tuesday that sends Suns defender Kade Kolodjashnij to AAMI Park“. http://m.afl.com.au/news/2018-10-15/trade-wrap-eagles-stand-by-offer-for-kelly The suggestion confirms other reports that the deal for Kolodjashnij will be completed independently of any deal for Steven May.

NAB AFL TRADE RADIO - DAILY UPDATES
• Two days remain in the AFL trade period and a few dominos still need to fall before the Wednesday night deadline. • The likes of Lachie Neale, Jesse Hogan, Steven May, Tom Scully, Dylan Shiel and Dayne Beams are all contracted players yet to land at their clubs of choice. • Collingwood however, re-signed defender Tom Langdon who turned down offers from Sydney and Fremantle to stay with the Magpies. • The Western Bulldogs got a trade done, bringing in Richmond forward Sam Lloyd for pick 64. • Carlton list boss Stephen Silvagni said his club remains open to trading pick one, should an enticing offer come their way. • With tomorrow the penultimate day of the Trade Period and with teams running out of time to get deals done, it is expected to be a busy one!

2018 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
You did mention Jack Bytel’s injury history which has affected his draft credentials. His problem that he has a lingering back injury and has hardly played this season. You would need a good medical report to take him in the draft.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
I was reading this article in the Age, and if what Peter Ryan and Michael Gleeson are saying is correct (and both are highly respected in the industry) then it would be very hard to arrive at a different conclusion

Would we take $cully back?
I hear that Scully arrived in Melbourne yesterday to tour Hawthorn’s facilities. Apparently told the media he was just “having a look around”.

THE TRADING CHRONICLES 2018
I doubt this will happen - it has already been suggested that it will involve a swap of draft picks as well - but it could well stir the pot where the Dockers are concerned. This very much depends on how Jesse Hogan looks at the situation given that the Gold Coast might present the new start in his life that he’s been looking for as a result of the difficult times he’s recently experienced in his life.

NAB AFL TRADE RADIO - DAILY UPDATES
• Fremantle appear to be out of the running for Dees spearhead Jesse Hogan. Their football operations manager stated late today that the club will be ceasing their pursuit of the dynamic tall forward because, "what Melbourne would be seeking for a trade would not be possible for our club to meet." (In other words, the Demons refused to consider their shake down deal). • This could change the landscape of the NAB AFL Trade Period, with Melbourne potentially now out of the race for Steven May. • Tom Scully has announced that he wishes to be traded from the Giants to Hawthorn and has completed a medical with the Hawks. • When it came to deals done, Dean Kent made his way to St Kilda, and Dom Tyson and Braydon Preuss completed a straight swap. • The Blues landed another ex-Giant, with Will Setterfield heading to Carlton (along with pick 71) in exchange for pick 43 and a 2019 second round pick. • Premiership Swan Dan Hannebery joined the Saints on a five-year deal, with St Kilda trading pick 39 and its future second-round pick in return for Hannebery and pick 28.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
I'm not sure if this has been fully played out but I am sure that we being the public are not privvy to all of the machinations of this saga. However, if Jess Hogan remains at the club for 2019 then I would hope that there is a concerted effort on the part of the club to retain him for longer than one season and that will depend on the professionalism of the club and its employees which includes the playing group. On playing ability alone however, we know what he's worth - this is not a good start for Peter Bell and the administration at Fremantle who, based on what I've seen, have conducted themselves deplorably.
