2025 MRO & Tribunal
Can I ask, why do Pies players always get interviewed by the broadcaster after an 'incident' in a final?Channel 7 went straight to De Goey and asked about the incident. He had a pre-prepared defence ...something about a smother...despite the vision showing nothing of the sort...very similar to Maynard. It's almost like it is planned by the club in kahootz with the broadcaster. The AFL try and apply civil law procedures, legalese and principles to their Tribunal/MRO these days, but create bias by allowing discussion of the topic in the media, which creates bias. It's one of the biggest jokes.

Hypocritical Collingwood supporters calling out booing of Quaynor
I understand that. I guess the point I was making was, there has been zero commentary on what led to the push and shove after the siren. They focused on that, but never delved into what it was all about. Proof that the media controls the narrative.

has anyone seen any vision of the tackle he put on Nibbler? I saw it live and then the aftermath, but not one word about the tackle itself.

Training Ground?
I notice this nwhen I see Collingwood's rooms at the MCG. Honour boards are all over the walls. Where f. are ours? Club with the richest history and nothing to be seen of it in OUR rooms. That should be improved. I love walking through the MCC and seeing photos of the Team of the Century, but that stuff needs to be exposed to the players too.

CASEY: Elimination Final vs Williamstown
Thank you. I assume that there was some arrangement made, given he has continued at Casey this year.

Who Will Be Our Next Coach?
Pickett and the dinky kick that goes 7 metres off the outside of the boot, when he could handball, are massive momentum killers. They always happen when we are on the run and lead to turnover goals. Something he is going to have to iron out. While the majority of our mids need to lower their eyes, sometimes he needs to lift his. He misses the targets 30 metres ahead, whilst trying to kick to a guy less than 10m away

VFL Finals Wildcard Round
Does anyone know where and when Casey will play the first final? Looked on the AFL App, VFL homepage and Player HQ, but none have any info.

Melbourne Football Club - The CEO
Was this legit? Some have suggested he answers the question about Choco not realising heโd been axed. Does he actually intend on giving Williams a role or was it slip of the tongue?

Who Will Be Our Next Coach?
My concern exactly. We don't have the supports in place for an untried assistant, who has job hopped between clubs and only recently expressed a desire to be a full time senior coach. Has been a forwards coach, GM of Footy, Head of Footy Department...I don't want some experimental plan to see if a bloke can coach full time. We have seen it fail and it has the potential to set us back a decade.

Who Will Be Our Next Coach?
maybe just my MFCSS, but if we bring in Danny Daly, I think we are absolutely stuffed. I have no doubt he is a very accomplished assistant. We, as a club, are seriously at the crossroads. We have an ageing membership base. We have attracted no new fans in decades. We have sacked a premiership coach. Our list is in shambles. If we think an untried assistant can come in, make his mark, enthuse the fan base, then we may as well pack it up. A bloke like that will take years to impact..maybe we have been sucked in by the McCrae example...but his credentials are very different..maybe it's the Fagan example...again, I'd argue very differemt. This club needs to be put back on the map. Danny Daly does not offer that...It could be Fagan. it could be a Neeld...are we taking that risk?

POSTGAME: Rd 23 vs Hawthorn
Took me 24 hours to digest that rubbish. It looked bruise free from our leaders. Tracc and Oliver cannot kick the ball to save themselves. I had to retreat to the bar at half time yesterday, and never made it back. Some of the worst football weโve played all year.

Parkin a lifetime MFC supporter !
Spot on! But it's just true to form from the media and their bias towards us. They spent the last 2 years having Goodwin in the gun. So many articles that were critical of him. Calls to change coach. Bad for culture. As soon as we sack him, the tune changes and we were wrong to get rid of him. If people aren't awake to the media agenda in the AFL by now, then they aren't listening/watching/reading enough. They all need a spell. I miss Mike Sheahan

What's Collingwood ever done for Melbourne?
Anybody mention Danny Seow?
-
Who Will Be Our Next Coach?
Carro is a muck-raking fool who has largely become irrelevant. She is writing her own narrative in a bid to unsettle MFC and Buckley. Great that the ๐ฝ pulled her up on Tassie being a better prospect than Melbourne.

Welcome to Demonland: Jai Culley
Was at Marvel for his debut and was really impressed. Worth persisting with. As others have pointed out, needs to learn to spoil in D50 or take marks if he is gonna fly. Twice it cost us yesterday. Iโm sure thatโll be highlighted in his review this week. Other than that, he is good at reading the play. Moves well and can be an aerial threat. There is much to like.
