NON-MFC: Round 01
Oliver is being torched on rebound and out of the midfield. The lack of pace is very noticeable

The New Home Base & Training Ground Thread
For those old enough to remember, all this talk of Waverley reminded me of this classic Talkback With Tony call on the Coodabeens in 1991. Ivan from Ivanhoe: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=d7PhxhOgqOk&list=PLmP4dhY0EBoPuXGvKkiOFQtsUYhS1xCLK&index=3&pp=iAQB

The New Home Base & Training Ground Thread
Just ran the Google maps…Waverley is 18 minutes from Toorak. We are back in the heartland compared with the 50 minute trip I had to put the Range Rover through all preseason to watch training. Happy Days.

Are we moving out of the MCG totally? Will the Demon Shop be out there?

Farewell Clayton Oliver
Summed up beautifully. Lots over overreaction

Farewell Clayton Oliver
I’m not so sure about that. They seem to be complimenting our reset.

Farewell Clayton Oliver
Spot on. These were the numbers he was putting up the last couple of years. Looks better when the side wins. It was a very solid first game at a new club. He didn’t break the game apart like Tracc. Lots of extraction handballs. His DE % looks decent because it’s all handballs. His handballs were stifling our need to play faster. I wish him all the best, but the media are just circle jerking because it’s a narrative that’s easy. They were the one with the torch on him for three years. It’s like they forgot all their reports on his misbehaviour and culture issues. The f..wi.t on Fox footy just said he must have been “miserable at Melbourne”. They never miss the chance

Farewell Christian Petracca
Great game for Tracc. He was in 2021 form. However, the opposition were witches hats. Whether it’s that they are missing stars, suffering a grand final hangover, couldn’t handle the humidity??? Either way, they were fairly insipid

PREGAME: Rd 01 vs St. Kilda
Having spoken to King in the pre-season, Culley is certainly a live ruck option. They are still figuring out how the new ruck rules will impact the game, and it will be a week by week proposition, depending on the opposition setups

PREGAME: Rd 01 vs St. Kilda
Culley will be used as a second Ruck around the ground, should he play.

PREGAME: Practice Match vs Richmond
so Culley not best 23?

PRESEASON TRAINING: Thursday 26th February 2026
With the last touch rules, boundary throw ins are going to be few and far between, except inside the arcs. I hope that's not the justification. I agree though - Kentfield was excellent last week and should be given the rd 1 spot

PRESEASON TRAINING: Thursday 26th February 2026
was about to head down but have been told it's all over. was it a shorter sessionthan usual? Just a captain's run?

Jeffo Ready to Soar in 2026
Should not even be in contention for Rd 1-5. He lacks competative hunger for the contest. Has shown little in matches to suggest otherwise. Training at a high level VS competing in games are very different. It was an underwhelming performance from Jeffo and Kentfield should plenty more

Welcome to Demonland: DriversDepot
That logo actually looks ok on the jumper. The Penrite one is very 'clashy' tho

Captains 2026
Do we have deputy captains? Is there a reason they haven’t announced ?

PRESEASON TRAINING: Wednesday 18th February 2026
I'll take the rose coloured glasses off for you. I've been to almost every summer session at Gosch's. McAdam may have talent, but his application to elite training standards is as bad as I have seen at our club. Sorry Ghosty, but if you are being honest, despite him being a nice guy, he treats training as a bit of fun with the boys. Hardly does anything with purpose. Jokes and laughs around when he makes errors. Goes through the motions most of the time. I really don't think he is anywhere near AFL ready this season. I will be happy to be proven wrong, and it's just an observation/opinion.

A New Dawn for the Dees Midfield
Outside mid. Will have kozzy, Langford, Steele, Culley to do the inside work. He will be on the outside. That’s modern footy. Not Goodwin running three inside mids and making the game a Friday with contested possession. The game has moved past that. That’s why we sucked for 3 years

A New Dawn for the Dees Midfield
If you'd seen his preseason work, and his limited work in the midfield at the end of last year, you'd realise that is a terrible take on Windsor

Farewell James Harmes
Always will have a soft spot for Harmesy. That kick in the GF was incredible and set us away on a bairnstorming comeback. He always gave his all for us. Sometimes limited by his skills, but couldn't fault his effort. Hope the Nut is doing OK.

Some Club Music/Celebratory Anthem Ideas
Well done on putting this together. I got a Stone Roses - Fools Gold vibe in the opening, which was short lived and then felt like you'd taken us to Revolver at 3am. I think the lyrics need to be more pronounced. It doesn't appeal to me. It doesn't really feel contemporary at all. Kind of lacks flow and wouldn't really rev up a crowd imho. Respect the effort though

PRESEASON TRAINING: Friday 23rd January 2026
I saw chandler injure his calf on Wednesday. I reckon he has pulled up sore.
